Lovely place to stay

Posted 11-Jun-2015
Pros: It was quaint, easy parking out the front. A quiet location. Room size was fine and the breakfast was very nice.
Cons: There was a bath but the shower was hand held and you has to kneel in the bath so as not to splash water everywhere. Hard in a grade 2 listed buildin
Location: Stonehenge and Salisbury are close
A very nice stay in Heytesbury which is a very small town just out of Warminster. Good for an over night stop.

Excellent Stay!

Posted 05-Apr-2015
Pros: Cleanliness and quiet.
Cons: Nothing in particular but a bit more smile would as part of Customer Service is welcomed! No complaints though :)
Location: Its absolutely a cracker if you want to stay close to longleat Safari Park. Therese are 2 pubs at the doorstep and are rated good.
We stayed there 1 night and it was awesome. The room was absolutely clean and the bed size was huge. Breakfast was freshly made and variety was good. I requested for an extra bed for my 3 years old and it was provided. Overall it was a delight to stay at this hotel with my family.

Comfortable BnB

The owner was very nice and helpful, room tidy and we'll stocked with teas, coffee and nice soaps. We didn't have breakfast due to early departure, but I would recommend this place 100%.

Nice clean bed and breakfast

The greeting on arrival was a little cold, not quite what I had expected. That said the room was nice and clean and the breakfast was excellent.

An excellent B&B in a delightful spot

Posted 15-Aug-2014
Cons: Nothing needz improvement
Location: Handy to Stonehenge & Bath
The owners were very welcoming & made us feel at home. This B&B is among the very best we have stayed in, and we wouldn't hesitate to return or recommend it to our friends. The breakfast was scrumptious & the home made jams added that little extra.

Depends why you are staying there

Contact prior to arrival was very good and they were able to accommodate a late arrival (which we didn't need in the end). The hotel is a quaint building with a shop frontage as it had been the village post office in a previous life, but being a grade II listed building that had to remain. The owners were very friendly and helpful. The village is idyllic, well catered for and quiet. However, being technology minded and like most people heavily reliant on my mobile. I had chosen the hotel as it had wifi. Unfortunately on arrival the village had no mobile service and the wifi didn't reach the Primrose Room very well. The room and bed were very comfortable. The primrose room has a built in bed which is very high. My husband was fine and found the height helpful but for myself I was having to climb up. The super king size bed, however, was well worth the mountaineering. The room and ensuite were cleanly decorated and very pleasant. The breakfast was excellent and cooked to order. The hotel also offers for sale homemade cakes, pack lunches and postcards. If you are looking to treat yourself with a romantic weekend away with no interruptions then this is the place to be. If you are looking for a stop over and need to keep on touch with the outside world then yo will be disappointed.

Very quiet, homely guest house.

Posted 11-Aug-2014
Pros: see above
Cons: nothing
Location: find out for yourself you lazy dog!
As I wrote in their visitors' book, the room was immaculate, the fittings all worked perfectly and the personal interaction was all one could wish for. One must travel far to encounter such excellence these days. The bedroom was clean, comfortable, silent and dark, and thus conducive to a great night's sleep, which I enjoyed, before jogging up to Scratchbury Camp and along the river Wylie, working up an appetite for a "full English" which was cooked to perfection. Upon departure I was kindly ferried to the nearest rail station. No one could ask for more!
