Great Place in a quaint town.

Pros: great for families, couples or singles. pub onsite was helpful. there was a large area behind that had a playset for kids and outdoor seating.
Cons: an oscillating fan during warm weather
Location: close to stonehenge
Great place to stay, especially with a family. Staff very helpful. Very clean room. Food was plentiful and tasty. Pub onsite and nice as well. Pub is a little noisy, but it wasn't open late. a fan in the room would help that as well.

Lovely B&B

Had a lovely stay at the Red Lion, the location was beautiful, the hotel clean and lovely, the staff wonderful and the service was prefect. Felt like I'd just got home after a long drive. Would stay there again in a heart beat.

We needed a family room to fit 3 adults and 2 children and this came up trumps. As soon as I walked into the bar area to book in I felt very welcome and was soon given the key to our room. We all went up and got ourselves ready for a wedding in Blandford and the room size made it so much easier, the toilet lock was a but faulty and the kids kept coming in but no big issue. Great breakfast in the morning with very friendly staff and the food was great, hot , and plentiful. If we are in the area again we would stay there again with out a doubt. Great pub, great service, good nights sleep and friendly staff. What more would you want. ( toilet lock haha ) Big Thanks

Great staff

Room was clean, but dated. Bathroom not so good - the shower head probably needed descaling as there were only a few streams of water, and the water temperature kept fluctuating. The service was excellent and the staff very friendly and helpful. The location is in the middle of nowhere, but we wanted a place between Bristol and Weymouth, and it suited our purposes. The breakfast was great. Parking was available. It was a bit noisy - we could hear noises from other rooms.

Pros: Breakfast was spectacular
Cons: Nothing!
Location: Good walking area
Definitely the best thing was the breakfast - served by a friendly chap who also gave us lots of advice on where to go walking in the area. That said, the welcome when we arrived was lovely, and the evening meal also great. Fab value for money.
