Still great value

Posted 01-Sep-2014
Pros: Staff and food
Location: It's Warminster ??? A base for exploring the countryside but thats it.
This is the second time we have stayed here, they have had a refurb recently and it has improved the place (it was good before). Staff are spot on and so helpful, food is outstanding. Yes it's a bit noisy at weekends but that is well documented and not a problem for us, thanks again to the staff at The Old Bell

The Old Bell Inn Warminster

Posted 31-Aug-2014
Pros: Centrally located for Warminster
We left booking our room to the very last minute and I'll admit to being a bit nervous as the price was so much lower than other rooms listed at nearby hotels. Having to travel back into Salisbury for a wedding I emailed the hotel and asked if we could check in a little early to change, not a problem the room was made available and was clean and tidy with all the normal things you would want, tea, coffee and good quality clean towels. The free breakfast was freshly cooked and extremely tasty

Good hotel for the price - well located

Posted 11-Aug-2014
Pros: good price - fair food - well located - very well run and organised .
Cons: cooked breakfast
Location: longleat and many other attractions
Clean room - professional and friendly staff . The hotel is well situated in the heart of the town and very well run. Nice and clean with fair sized rooms. Late bar Friday and Saturday, but noise levels not too much of a problem. I would recommend the hotel and defiantly stay there again.

The Old Bell Hotel

Posted 10-Aug-2014
Pros: the rooms were very comfortable. The food was excellent.
Cons: One thing they could do with putting handrails on both sides of the stairs. I was wondering with it being so old they perhaps were not allowed too.
Location: It was in the main area of Warminster very central for everything. The railway was close by. It was central to all shops and places of interest.
The staff were very friendly and couldn't do enough for us. We are elderly and they helped everyway they could to make us comfortable.

Noise

Posted 27-Jul-2014
Pros: That breakfast was included.
Location: Not applicable to us as we were attending a family party nearby.
Although we were told about the late licence in the hotel on the Saturday night, but as our room was on the second floor at the front it would be away from the noise out the back. Unfortunately we were not told about the hotel/pub the other side of the street who also had a late license and a live band on Saturday night, it was very noisey. The room was comfortable and clean. The staff were very nice and helpful.

Reasonable price for stay

Posted 10-Jul-2014
Stayed on a Saturday night. We were warned that bar would be open until 2am and would be quite noisy but this did not affect the stay.

Handy for Longleat

Posted 24-Jun-2014
Pros: Friendly staff
Cons: the room was ok but there was big cracks in the wall and patches of plaster that needed repairing and the TV was temperamental.
Location: Main thing is Longleat near by but there is a nice little village too.
Even though it was noisey (which they did warn us about) it was very comfortable for the length of stay I had and handy for Longleat. wouldn't recommend for families with young children due to the noise.
