“a satisfying experience”

Was easy to find, staff were very polite and helpful. Room was very comfortable! Clean and well kept.

Typical Marriott hotel. handy for Stanstead , nice staff ,but food and drinks expensive and restaurant lacks atmosphere. Bedrooms very clean, comfy king size bed , sky etc , no mini bar though and ice machine in corridor not working.overall would always recomend marriott although weekend prices have increased. and breakfast at £15 expensive.

“Alright for the night”

Hotel check in was quick and easy, Hotel room was ready and clean the bed was comfy. we didn't use the leisure facilities. Breakfast room was nice breakfast was a bit luke warn but plenty of choice.

“Better than expected”

We were just using this hotel as a convenient (1 min from M25) stop-over to break a long journey, but were quite pleasantly surprised Excellent leisure facilties (effectively a private pool early in the morning!) and the staff were all very helpful & pleasant - customer service training has obviously been very effective. Restaurant decor was a bit gloomy (especially as a breakfast room) but the buffet breakfast had a good selection.

Very close to motorway, quiet area, some distance from Waltham Abbey . Don't expect to go for a walk to a local pub or restaurant.

“Good location on M25 - J26”

Very nice hotel and breakfast. Very enjoyable stay. Nice pool, sauna and steam room. Only query was having booked 2 rooms for 3 people via Expedia, reception seemed most surprised as booking referred to 1 King bed, so needed to get put you ups. However put you up beds quickly ordered and put in rooms, so all sorted.

“Would certainly use this hotel again.”

Reception Staff were very welcoming, although they were busy and apologised for the wait. Room was excellent with a very comfortable king size bed. Breakfast was excellent again Staff very polite and helpful. Well done The Marriott.

“Not impressed”

Having arrived after the specified check in time 14.00 we were greeted with long queues at reception, only 1 receptionist and many others milling around reception whose rooms were not ready. Eventually a second person came onto reception. Having finally got to the reception desk there was no apology for being kept waiting 20 minutes. We were told that our rooms were not ready and when this was queried just told they were busy and had been full. As a customer this is not my problem and they need to make sure that they are employing enough staff to meet demand. Others in the queue and waiting were part of a wedding party and needed their rooms to get changed. We were lucky and not on a timescale! There did not seem to be any organisation surrounding reception. We had prepaid for 2 rooms but when we were given the invoice the room cost had been charged so they had to re do the bills and had another wait. This could be a nice hotel if they had efficient friendly staff however the reception staff didn't seem to care. I noticed a note to staff on reception whch read "how many times have you used the customers name" sad to say not at all in the time I queued to anyone!
