Overall this was a great experience. The hotel is almost brand new so not surprisingly, it was very clean and modern.
Quick points: Beautiful pools, good restaurant options, and quiet resort, downside-no free airport shuttle
The rooms were well designed with gorgeous bathrooms.
We stayed in late June, so overall the resort was not very busy. Walking around the resort was beautiful. The grounds are well kept. There were 2 pools one for adults and one for families. There was also a splash pad. For our young son, the splash pad was a hit. Loads of fun with great poolside service. The adult pool was an infinity view with an OK view but overall never more than 1 or 2 people in it. There were two large water slides we really enjoyed. Tons of activities for kids we didn't get a chance to take advantage of like pool tables, rock climbing, ping pong.
We never had trouble getting a table for any meal at any restaurant. The staff were very friendly and accommodating especially to our little one. For some reason at breakfast the service was mediocre. Staff would forget to bring us menus, or we'd get our drinks half way through our meal. Lunch and dinner never seemed to be an issue though.
There was a free shuttle bus to all the Disney parks, but not to Downtown Disney. It was a comfortable ride on a coach bus which never had more than 4 people - huge plus.

"Newly renovated rooms!!! It's lipstick on a pig!!"
Nice location , well manicured grounds, hotel staff very nice. The room left a lot to be desired. when checked in the a/c unit was making noise, a sleepless night. Came to repair next day and worked for three days when noticed the room was very warm. adjusted thermostat, worked for the day and again too warm again just gave up. The toilet, try to flush something never happens until it wants to. In the edge of the bath mirrors the tiles were not finished looked awful. the rain-shower heads only somewhat trickled water most holes were blocked.
Wow! What a spectacular experience. The room was exceedingly great and very quiet. Very clean and bed was very comfortable. And we had a really great balcony that looked out over the lake and the Magic Kingdom and had a spectacular view of the fireworks. Staff was exceptional and very helpful. Hands down, this is the best hotel I have EVER stayed at. I would recommend this to anybody.
This was our third time at Contemporary at the past 4 years.
We stayed there for 5 nights. The location can't be beat; worth the premium.
Since our 7 year old would prefer pool time each day, this location allows us to be at MK at 8.30am, around 4pm walk back at the pool for 3 hours before returning back to MK for dinner and fireworks.
California Grill is a must and the food is also good & reasonably priced at the quick serving grill.
Our A/C stopped working a few times but it was quickly fixed.
Sipping wine on the balcony after each magical day with a lite up Magical Kingdow; that was simply great.
Fab hotel. We had a lovely spacious room, just their standard for four, but it had two queens and a sofa bed, so our 2 children had a bed each - life saver!! Going around the Epcot world showcase in the evenings was great, sampling different drinks in each country and talking to the 'locals'. Brilliant hotel, lovely staff, fantastically peaceful after a day with Mickey!
We were able to check in at 11am, and have the full day to take advantage of the awesome pool facilities. Even checking in early, we were given a room which overlooked the pool and we could see fireworks from our balcony. The Yatch club has an extremely nice facility. The rooms are a little dated, but still nice. Stormalong Bay includes multiple sand bottom pools, a lazy river, and a really cool pirate ship waterslide. They show movies on the beach every night, and there is a boat ride to the Boardwalk area, Hollywood Studios & Epcot. We stayed here and did not go to any of the parks because we stayed only one night. I would stay here for a week & not go to the park. Stormalong Bay is enough entertainment by itself.
