The staff is not informed local calls are free Posted 06-Jan-2015
I was disappointed that the hotel claims it is smoke free when it is not. I pulled into the parking lot to see staff members smoking in an area with a sign that read "smoking". Furthermore, I asked the young lady at the front desk if she know of any local restaurants that would deliver food to the hotel. The young lady handed me a piece of paper with a list of restaurants with no phone numbers? Once I arrived in my room, I called back to the front desk to voice my disappointment, and the young man who answered the phone, immediately provided me with two local restaurant menus . I asked why the young lady did not know that the front desk had menus? He could not explain why she was not informed? I clearly asked the young man if local phone calls were free and he stated "yes". Furthermore the phone in my room, listed local calls as free. The nightmare started when I checking out of the hotel. I returned my room key and the young man at the front desk told me that I was being charged for local calls. I immediately, told him that I spoke with the young man who delivered menus to my room and he stated that local calls were free! Furthermore, the phone in my room was clearly marked that local calls were free. After a few minutes of haggling, the young man agreed to waive the fee for the local call. Another nightmare, I asked for an updated receipt that showed the local calls were removed. It took the young man 6 attempts to override the system and find the correct codes to fix it.

Thank you Liz for your feedback. Our hotel is a smoke-free hotel with one designated smoking area, located in one isolated area away from guest rooms, to ensure a pleasant stay for all. As for the mix up with the food menus and phone calls please rest assured that we be addressed by the management team, that is not the service experience we want our guest to have. For future stays, please try out our bistro available for breakfast or dinner. Our market is stocked with snacks and available 24 hours.
