“Looking forward to next year's stay”

Pet friendly, comfortable beds/rooms, free wi-fi, pool and whirlpool, and a decent breakfast. Service was excellent....especially at breakfast. Late check-in was no problem. Had a great lakeside view. Right off main road and convenient to downtown area. Mini- fridge and microwave were very nice bonuses! Highly recommend!

“Surprise $30 pet fee”

Hotel clean enough but was floored by $30 pet fee at checkin. It was a 17yr old non shedding, non barking 13 lb little dog. When I booked I double checked pet policy via telephone with no mention of fee. We have stayed in many a hotel where usually nothing is charged, $10 the most. Hotel very average, average breakfast bed comfy enough, room nothing special. Not a lot of choices in the area. Small veiw of Bay through the trees.

Area recommendations
Downtown Walker cute enough with nice big park on the Bay. Itaska State Park is worth the 35 mile drive, the Mississippi Head Waters is something everyone should do.

Mississippi Head Waters in Itaska State Park.
Dining
Lucky Moose next door was not real expensive with good food and atmosphere.

“Love It Here”

We stay here every time we visit Walker (about 4 times per year) if available. Front desk is super friendly and helpful, beds are awesomely comfortably, bedding is great (pillows, too), breakfast is always plentiful and delicious, pool area is nice. We love the Lucky Moose next door for supper! (and drinks) and downtown is walkable if your not scared (about 1.5 miles) - it's a beautiful walk down Walker Bay Boulevard! Downs: No taxi service (not the hotel's fault) and it's a bit of a drive if you are going anywhere.. Still, we love it here!

“A Nice Stay”

We were visiting relatives in the area and this was a convenient spot to spend the night. A very nice place to stay in Walker where the choices are limited.

“favorite northland hotel”

Walker is a beautiful town and the lake is so inviting. We were there over the 4th of July and the town was all geared up for the celebration and did a terrific job of keeping everything in order and friendly. Our stay at the hotel made the trip so enjoyable and comforting.

Area recommendations
This not a big city and therefore finding anything you would want is easy. We talked with several of the shop owners and they were very informative about the city and the area.

“Great Hotel”

Our stay there was great. Great restaurant right next door, clean and quiet rooms and friendly staff. Room temperature was easy to control. The pool was very warm and the pool area was very clean. The complimentary breakfast has a little something for everyone. I would HIGHLY recommend this hotel!

“Don't stay if you are a non-smoker”

The first night we stayed at this hotel, it was so smoky we couldn't sleep. All night people were out in the hall smoking. There are smoking rooms on every floor at the ends of the hall and the smoke infiltrated the entire hotel. The doors have wide cracks on either side so the smoke comes right into your room. The doors spring back and slam loudly, which happened all night long. Our second night stay was quieter because there weren't so many people staying at the hotel.
