This was the most amazing vacation stay we've ever experienced! We've stayed on other Hawaiian islands in the past and dozens of 5-star hotels and resorts over the past 20 years, and this was the most amazing resort we've ever had the pleasure of staying! Professional, attentive staff, with constant pampering at every turn. Gorgeous grounds, wonderful restaurants, clean and we'll maintained facilities and pools. The entire staff were the most professional, friendly, and hardworking group I have ever witnessed. Can't say enough about the level of service they provide, from the welcome greeting with lei's, cool towels, ginger mint lemonade and multiple people all taking care of us, to the amazing pool staff ( loved Rowena with her frequent pool side treats!), the housekeeping who kept our rooms immaculate! They literally had to clean 2-3 times a day, every time we entered, we had fresh towels. Wait staff at the restaurants were wonderful! The concierge staff are priceless, so amazingly helpful getting an itinerary established before our arrival and so helpful while at the hotel. They are one of the best features of the hotel. Can't say enough about how impressed we were by this property, and staff. Would never stay anywhere else while in Maui! Can't wait to return!
The pros: Free self and valet parking. No resort fee. Free water and good coffee in your room daily. It has a beach and a pool with snorkeling right off the beach. Class place at a reasonable price. Did I mention NO RESORT FEE (a way most Hawaiian properties misrepresent their rates)? Great staff that is helpful and friendly. All price levels of food and drink. Sea turtles on the beach
The cons: The resort is a little remote, meaning a little far out there on a road that is 20 and 30 MPH speed limits. It seems to be in a rainy spot on the island. It was raining there every afternoon when just up the road was sunny. The pool is a little small.
My husband and I travelled to this hotel for our 10 year wedding anniversary. The resort was beautiful and the service was incredible. We were very kindly treated to a fabulous room upgrade (ocean view suite) and they sent a bottle of bubbly on our anniversary. All of the hotel's amenities were beautifully kept, the beach was fantastic (and you could enjoy long walks along it) and the attention to detail by all service providers (waiters, beach staff, pool staff etc.) was A+. We had a great time and would recommend the place to all!

Great experience at the Marriott, very clean rooms, pool areas and friendly staff. Be aware they have an adults only pool which if you wish to use, provides a quieter more sedate experience in comparison to some of the other pool areas.
Sunsets to die for!
Beautiful hotel, beautiful beach, friendly staff - what more to say? Kids had a great time as well. Only point to note: bed mattress not that comfortable, I have slept on better ones. All in all a wonderful experience and I will recommend highly.
All condos have a beach view. The pools were uncrowded when we were there. There were 1 to 2 weddings on the beach daily. A large wedding party was staying at Makena Surf part of the week and were loud and rather rude, so avoid June wedding times if you are seeking a quiet getaway. Makena Surf is located in an upscale area of the island. We would definitely stay there again.
Golf, golf, and more golf: the Wailea Golf Club’s three courses are a main attraction. Particularly, its Emerald Course is renowned for being one of the most friendly for women. Because the club is seaside, golfers can squeeze in seasonal whale watching during tee time. Shoppers can spend a few greenbacks at The Shops at Wailea, an upscale galleria with Gucci, Louis Vuitton, and Tiffany & Co.
