As a stop over hotel, this was a great find. Our mattress was as good as one in a 5 star hotel, meaning we had a fabulous sleep. The staff were engaging, helpful and attentive - just what was needed after a tricky journey!
A little difficult to find, though the hotel could be seen from some distance away, but the journey was very worth it. A quirky (but in a nice way) entrance, very Art-Deco. Reception very efficient, with the Sommelier showing us to our room on the top floor via a quaint open cage lift that just fits 3 people (or 2 with luggage!) to an immaculate room with a view over Clermont Ferand and the sunset - simply stunning. The restaurant is not to be missed as the meal was one of the very best we have experienced - ever! AND that includes many visits to Michelin starred venues both in France and the UK. Make sure you are hungry before you sample the set meal, although each serving was small (not too sure whether to eat them, or mount them on the wall, as each was an artistic presentation, but superbly presented and the taste! A wow factor on two planes each time.
The bed was extremely comfortable, the room peaceful and airy (did I mention the view?) and the attentiveness of all of the staff from Madam, through reception, the sommelier and all the waiting staff was memorable.
What can I say - well worth the journey.

I stayed here for a couple of nights and found it to be a very well-priced, comfortable space. The room was very small, but clean and well laid out. The little kitchen was well-appointed, clean and functional and (perhaps most amazing of all) the bathroom was of a decent size with a full-size bathtub and great shower! Anyone who has stayed in budget hotels in Europe will understand how great this is for the price! Nothing fancy here, just a clean, functional space, friendly staff, parking in the back. No complaints whatsoever.
