We had an overall lovely stay here. The hotel is about a 15/20 minute walk from the main Museumplein, but the walk is either along a lovely street or through the beautiful Vondelpark. Rooms are outstandingly clean, toiletries and towels refreshed every day. Breakfast sounds expensive at first but it is an 'all you can eat' buffet with good variety and when you compare it to what many of the cafes in the area are offering, it is positively cheap! The hotel is set in a really nice area and the restaurants/cafes/bars near it reflect that - they are expensive. However we found a delightful Italian delicatessen on Emmastraat just around the corner that serves very reasonably priced, tasty food until 6pm, called Scala Della Pasta. Rooms are not air conditioned, but we had the balcony door open and it was ok. There are no tea/coffee facilities in the room (a bit of an issue for us Brits!). BUT the real gem at this hotel is its staff who are among the friendliest I've come across, efficient, helpful and very approachable - they made the stay very special and I'd definitely stay here again because of them. The hotel is housed in a 19th century traditional Dutch house so the stairs are steep and there's no lift, but this is the charm of retaining original features. Overall we loved staying at this hotel, our stay was easy and worry free. A big thank you to the Apple Inn staff, from reception to breakfast staff and to the very diligent housekeeping team - you are just brilliant.
The hotel itself is unexceptional.
The staff are very pleasant and sincere, but the room is nothing special, the television postage-stamp sized. The toilet is so close to the wall that one bangs one's knees sitting upon it. Since the hotel is on a main street, there are urban noises such as sirens all night. Internet was fine, but best attribute is location. Just a 10 minute stumble from the Leidseplein or the Reichsmuseum. Seemingly pricy, but i'd pay it again if i had too.
We loved being by the park and the neighborhood. It was super easy to get in and out of town. One quick tram ride and everyday we took the tram in and just walked our way back to the hotel using different routes. The room is what you pay for. Not amazing, but definitely comfortable enough! The staff is friendly.

I have been coming to this hotel for about 25 years and would recommend it to anybody who is looking for a place to stay in Amsterdam. It is walking distance from the center, or you just hop on Tram 2. The staff was extremely helpful as always during my stay last week, the rooms are nice and clean.
Wall paper and trim falling off wall. Fan in bathroom did not work. Door has to be locked from inside or outside-does not automatically lock. Very old creaky stairs. Only one (set of) outlet in the room. Location is great.

We really appreciated the friendly helpful staff who went out of their way to help us with our requests. The hotel was attractive and the breakfast was delicious. We can not praise the staff highly enough for their helpfulness.
My daughter and I spent eight nights at Hotel Museumplein and we loved how easy it was to access everything from one quiet location. We felt like we were out of the tourist mobs yet Vondelpark, the trams taking us to shopping and the Museumplein complex were right around the corner. Our room was clean and the staff very sweet, helpful and softspoken. My only complaint on the room was a noisy fan on the AC which made sleep difficult so we turned it off at night. The evenings were cool so it wasn't a problem and I believe if I had said something they would have taken care of it immediately. I would definitely stay here again!

This large grassy space is a great place to escape the bustle of the city. In summer Amsterdammers come here to stroll, jog, roller-skate, sunbathe, listen to free concerts and watch the buskers and children’s entertainers. The Nederlands Filmmuseum is a very popular cinema (free outdoor screenings in summer) with an excellent café restaurant. The Hollandse Manege is a charming period building and home to the Dutch Riding School.
