We have stayed there in three different rooms and each time was a great experience as far as the rooms cleanliness and comfort.
This time we didn't have breakfast so we didn't have much interaction with the Inn Keepers although I did get to know Aurilla somewhat and she was very pleasant.
I was there for a conference at the Virginia Beach Convention Center; the hotel was literally 2 parking lots away. It's not on the beach but it's a 5 minute (or less) drive away. I thought it was great for the price. I had no problems at all.... Love the complimentary cookies!
Great hotel if you're bringing your dog along. Our boxer did great there, although i wish there was more grassy areas on the property. The indoor heated pool was great since we went in November. Most shops were closed (again, off-season, so that was expected) but it would be a great spot during peak season as its kind of in the middle of everything, and most things within walking distance, like the beach, the boardwalk, shops, local hot-spot restaurants, the amusement park on the boardwalk, and the list just goes on and on. Also, there's a Harris Teeter across the street which came in handy, we kept snacks in the fridge and used the microwave for quick lunches.
My husband and I arrived on a frigid blustery Sunday evening for a 2 night stay. I was on a speaking tour and we thought we just might catch a rare warm and sunny beach day, so we booked a Ramada oceanfront room. Although the weather remained lousy, our entire stay was wonderful. The view of the boardwalk holiday lights from our room was romantic and delightful. The bed was extremely comfortable. Service was outstanding, from the checkin and out to the valet parking to the servers in the downstairs restaurant to maid service. Everyone went the extra mile to make sure our stay was everything it should be. Our table by the fire for all meals was so cozy and the food was wonderful. Happy hour was tops and the steamed oysters the best I have ever had. Will definitely stay here again!
Hotel staff was very friendly; rooms were exceptionally clean. Breakfast came with the room, which is always great. If I had to say one negative it would be the plastic ware that they give you to eat breakfast was very cheap and flimsy. Other than that, it was a great experience!
