Large rooms are decorated with rich red, cream and gold brocades. Satin and wood armchairs are upholstered in reds or blues and beds have wooden, inlaid headboards and footboards. Walls are hung with contemporary portraits. White marble bathrooms have an adjustable-height handheld shower over the tub; some have a separate, marble-lined shower cubicle. All include bidets and their own heating system.

Le Paysage - The appropriately named second-floor 'View' restaurant is surrounded by a balcony overlooking the lake. At lunch and dinner guests choose from a French haute-cuisine menu. Green and gold striped chairs sit at tables set with spearmint-green napery and French silver service.

Café Villon - This wood-floored café with a view serves guests all day from an international menu. At night there is live piano music and drinks are served from a marble-topped bar.
