“Excellent hotel, excellent location”

Excellent hotel in an excellent location right at the edge of the old town. It is a 5 minute walk to the bus station so no need to get a taxi, buy a ticket from the kiosk inside the departures and jump on a number 1 or 2 bus and get of at the bus station (market). Hotel reception were very helpful and the staff very friendly.

Area recommendations
The old town area has the most to offer but its still best to explore the surrounding areas.
Dining
Try the Zeppelins at one of the traditional Lithuanian restaurants. They are very filling so only have a starter if you have a big appetite. The local beers are great and go very well with the local cuisine.

“Excellent Value”

Stayed in hotel on two consecutive weekends, very good value for the money. While hotel might not be anything overly fancy by US standards it is quiet and location is excellent, short walk to anything downtown. Only negative is that first weekend staying there non-smoking room clearly smelled as if previous guests have been smoking in there. Would stay there again

“Convenient for City Centre”

Tucked away on a side street just 2 minutes walk from the Town Hall and main pedestrian area of the Old City, this modern hotel is ideal for sight seeing or business. Rooms are large and clean. Breakfast buffet offers choice of cooked, continental or Lithuanian food. Staff very helpful.

Area recommendations
The Old City is fascinating - a confection of Baroque churches.
Must see
For a perspective on recent troubled times visit the Jewish Holocaust museum and the KGB Headquarters to see how Lithuania suffered during and after the Second World War. If you have opportunity, take a train to Paneriai (15 minutes from Vilnius Main Station) and walk through the pine trees then try to reconcile the peace and quiet of the forest now with the atrocities committed there.

“Pleasant hotel well placed on the edge of the Old Town”

This was a nice hotel with a welcoming feeling and well decorated lobby. My room was pleasant and clean with a comfy bed. Breakfast was fine if a bit of a strange mix of fares. Free wi-fi too. The hotel is on the edge of the Old Town so it is only a few minutes walk into the histrorical part of the city. It is also very near the train and bus stations which was handy when coming from the airport. The neighbourhood is safe but run down, but I think most of the city is run down.

Area recommendations
The Old Town seems to be the only area worth seeing. It is interesting but having visited both Tallinn and Riga it is the least interesting of the 3 Baltic capitals in my view (Tallinn being the best). It is also handy for visiting Trakai (the lake castle) which again is nice but not as breathtaking as the guide books will have you think. Note to get to Trakai either get up very early for the trains or buses or wait until the early afternoon as there is no transport there from around 9am until 1pm. It takes around 30 minutes by the direct bus.

“It did the job!”

A comfortable enough hotel in a handy enough location.

Area recommendations
The Old town has plenty of character and as a whole Vilnius is pleasant enough and small enough to get around easily on foot. A nice place to spend a few days.

“Nice room, atmosphere lacking, but ideal place to stay in vilnius!”

Were not greeted with a welcome of anything worth nothing, was perfunctory. Room good size, immaculately clean bathroom. Breakfast was a buffet of varying foods, fairly continental, had to keep asking for hot water for tea as the urn was luke warm at best. The bar prices were exceptionally expensive compared to any drinking establishments in the rest of Vilnius. Location wise is great though, very close to the old town which is the only place worth seeing in Vilnius. Maid service was excellent. Reception staff changed a lot, some could speak good english and could help and some could not. Would recommend this as a place to stay, especially as its so cheap, but don't expect anything amazing.

“Nice hotel near the egg.”

Nice place. Good service. The only downside was that they did not refresh/refill the breakfast table the whole time we were sitting there. I could have gone for some hot food, but no more came out. Overall, it is a nice place at a good price, and near the bus/train stations and the old town. I would stay here again.

Area recommendations
Old Town, Vilnius, is brilliant. Pretty much everything you need to see in Vilnius is in Old Town.
Dining
As an expat living in Lithuania for a couple of years now, I miss getting to eat Mexican/TexMex food regularly. So, traveling to Vilnius gives me the opportunity to eat at "Tres Mexicanos". It is located near the Cathedral and serves up delicious authentic Mexican cuisine. If you've had your fill of cepelinai and saltibarscai and need some good spice head there.

“Hotel liegt in Altstadt und ist nicht sehen wertes in nähe.”

wer zu erst oder früh Frühstücken hat, hat alles bekommen, wer etwas späte essen wollte gab ganz wenig zu essen da und am schlimmsten kalte kaffe. Auch wenn man es meldet der Kaffe blieb kalt, Bedienung in war überhaupt nicht zu frieden. Viellärm, eigentlich singles sollten nicht nah zu familien mit kinder auf gleichen Etage gebracht werden. Das war das schlimmste.

City Center ist die beste Gebiet in Vilnius. da ist man nah zum alles was man braucht.

“Hotel Conti , bon rapport qualité prix”

Bon rapport qualité prix , un tout petit peu juste pour 4 étoiles, mais confortable, propre quand même et avec un bon service. Très proche du centre historique , à 5 minutes à pieds on peut trouver restos ; pubs , boites .... et la place principale
