“Is it really value for money???”

Despite its fantastic central location in close proximity to the old town and very pleasant staff, the main issues rest with the interior. Very dated decor, almost non-existent sound and heat insulation (broken single grazed window frames provide an excellent insight into outdoor conversations). Despite booking a non-smoking double room, a cigarette reeking twin room was allocated. Bathroom is equally uninspiring. No fridge/minibar or hair dryer. No internet access (though you are offered to use it at another location 10 minutes down the street, still a major inconvenience). So called “continental breakfast” doesn’t offer much joy either, and if you happen to be a vegetarian asking for available options – prepare to be greeted with a blank face expression and suffer in silence on the menu of cheese and stale bread. All in all – conveniently located cheap accommodation, but there are better options in close proximity for similar money. Not impressed.

“Great value hotel in excellent location”

The hotel was in a great location on the main street. We had one room at the back of the hotel which overlooked a quiet courtyard, and one at the front, where the occupant got little sleep due to the noise, despite using earplugs. The rooms were very clean and the beds comfortable. The breakfast was based on a Continental one, but was very small and unusual. The coffee was excellent. The hotel staff were friendly and helpful and we would definitely stay again.

An ideal location to explore Vilnius, and close to bus stops to investigate other areas. Room was far larger then I had expected, and for the room rate I was very satisfied! I am going back twice next month and have had no hesitations about staying here again. Breakfast was basic - ham and cheese sandwich, but came with a good coffee and freshly squeezed OJ,

The hotel was good, our room was large and the en-suite bathroom was modern and clean. The breakfast was okay - served in a nice gourmet cafe downstairs but a little on the light side.

Hotel was basic regarding ameneties but very fresh and clean. Hotel staff spoke good English and were always kind and pleasant. Situation is good being close to most tourist type attractions and shops. Very good value for money.

“Het Ambassador hotel, zeer centraal gelegen en goed in orde”

We hebben 4 nachten verbleven in het Ambassador hotel tot tevredenheid. De kamers zijn eenvoudig ingericht en netjes. Het ontbijt was goed verzorgd en het personeel vriendelijk. De ligging is echt perfect, binnen 5 minuten lopen ben je bij de binnenstad. Enige nadeel zou kunnen zijn dat je het verkeer kunt horen. Wij hebben er geen last van gehad.

Wer ausgebucht ist, sollte wenigstens Bescheid sagen! Glücklicherweise ist meine Freundin aus Litauen und wollte am Nachmittag beim Ambassador einchecken. Ihr wurde zunächst gesagt, daß keine Buchung vorliegt. Nachdem sie nachgefragt hatte, wurde festgestellt, daß das Hotel ausgebucht ist und ihr wurde angeboten, ins Ecotel zu gehen (daß ich durchaus empfehlen kann) Allerdings folgende Anmerkung: Mein Flugzeug ist um 23.30Uhr in Vilnius gelandet. Hätte meine Freundin nicht schon am Nachmittag das Versehen aufgeklärt , wäre ich nach der Fahrt mit dem Taxi in die Innenstadt gegen 0.30Uhr im Ambassador angekommen. Angenommen, ich hätte das Versehen ebenfalls klären können, hätte ich anschließend wieder ein Taxi rufen müssen, um nochmal durch die halbe Stadt zu fahren. Ich finde, wer ausgebucht ist, sollte wenigstens vorher Bescheid geben. Im Internetzeitalter ist das ja auch kein Problem!

l hôtel est très bien situé mais pâtit d' une mauvaise isolation phonique pour les chambres sur rue .le système du petit déjeuner sous traité au café mitoyen n est pas une très bonne solution .mais le prix est modéré ce qui donne un très bon rapport qualité prix
