The hotel doesn't have much curbside appeal, as it is currently under construction, but my room was extremely nice. I originally booked a renovated Deluxe Single room, which was nice but tiny. For a fee I was able to upgrade to a bigger room with a Queen size bed. The staff is extremely friendly and speaks English well.

It was difficult to find a hotel in central Vicenza in our price range and this one was on the other side of the town from the railway station but we managed to walk it without any difficulty. We had a very quiet room at the top. The staff were friendly and always helpful with information. There are buses but they were a bit of a mystery to us because of the one way system and pedestrianised centre.

So anybody traveling to Vicenza should absolutely stay here. Great price for a hotel that rivals those in the US.
Everybody was friendly, breakfast was great, rooms were clean and spacious - really don't have anything negative to stay.
I'll end by saying if you're going to Vicenza or planning to go to Venice this is the ticket (there is a train station right nearby)!
I admit to doing things on the cheap wherever possible... but expect that low-priced accommodation is due to small, basic rooms a little off the beaten track - not due to poor standards.
My non-smoking room stank of cigarette smoke, and even worse of the huge quantities of 'air freshener'. Bedspread had a large burn-hole. Shower had black mould.
This appears to have been a grand hotel once - now it's run down and tatty.
They do put on a good continental breakfast. Free wi-fi is a nice bonus.

For those with car, da Porto is a great place to stay in Vicenza. Nice and professional staff, spacious and clean rooms, very good breakfast, great base to travel around the region. We have been a whole weak with our children. We missed it during the rest of the trip. We will certainly come back.

I used to stay here about a year ago and then transferred to the B4 down the street because of a bad experience. I've since stayed here twice and have been very happy with it. The staff is very friendly and they speak English.
Hotel Mary is certainly not a luxury hotel, however it made a good match for business travellers. I came to the hotel to attend a trade show and I was not expecting much service.
The hotel is conveniently located in front of a pizzeria and an italian restaurant called Il Fauno which is quite good. There is a small organic supermarket in front of the hotel too, for those who want to eat in the room (there are small fridges)
Access to the shows can be done by bus or taxi (taxi ride average 20 euros).
The staff of the hotel is very friendly and they speak several language amongst them. English is not a problem. The breakfast is quite good, with coffee, breads, fruits, and cheese. Also danish pastries.
The staff was helpful with directions. And there are vending machines.
If you want to do laundry there is a shop behind the hotel that does this service.
Generally speaking, for the business traveller Hotel Mary does its job. Do not expect luxury but good value (clean towels and sheets) for your stay.
