"Excellent location on the doorstep of the Marina"
The Tivoli provided excellent service. The view from the room of the Marina was stunning, the king bed was very comfortable and spacious. The breakfast was ok, it could of done with a little more variety as it was pretty much the same every day. Overall I would recommend staying at the Tivoli and would definitely come back
The research before our holiday gave us high expectations; and every single one was exceeded! The hotel was beautiful and luxurious, the staff couldn't be any more helpful and the food was fantastic! Will definitely be returning
"Flexibility of apartment with facilities of hotel "
Two friends and I have just spent 4 nights at the As Cascares and we will definitely be back. The apartment was very spacious with large lounge and very modern kitchen equipped with dishwasher and washing machine, 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. We were on the ground floor and there was a paved area outside the bedroom and lounge with sun loungers and patio set where we sat and ate breakfast and sipped champagne in the evening. The pool areas (3 of them) were all well kept and the adults only pool was small was great if you want peace and quiet. The shuttle buses (beach in the day, marina at night) were fantastic and saved walking although it is only a 25 min walk (we did it once!). All staff were very helpful and we had our apartment cleaned every day with beds made etc as you would in a hotel. All in all it was a great place to be. The only niggle was that you had to pay for Wi Fi in the apartments but if you went in the hotel you could pick up the Wi Fi for free! We love Villamoura for the restaurants, bars and laid back atmosphere and this is a great base to experience it from.
We have just returned from a fabulous week at the Four Seasons. The hotel is beautiful and in a fantastic position next to the charming old village where there a a couple of lovely restaurants (especially Le Rendevous!). The food was really good at the hotel and the themed nights were great value for money. Our daughter (4) loved the pools, especially the toddler pool where she could comfortably walk around and the little pond with the fish and turtles was a big hit! Staff were always pleasant and helpful and the rooms were kept clean and fresh all week. The marina is only 5 minutes away in a cab or 20 minute walk. The sandy beaches either side of the marina are lovely and the land train is a great little treat for the children. Our only criticism would be the lack of evening entertainment at the hotel for either adults or children, however we had a really lovely time and cant wait to go back!
Lovely area and pool good staff very friendly rooms ok could do with update and good clean under beds etc breakfast good needs tea coffee making facilities in room this spoilt the room of a four star hotel
I really enjoyed my week stay here and would definitely come again because of the great golfing experience and the friendliness of the staff at reception and the bar. I landed at Faro airport on Sunday 10am. The roads were quiet and the journey to the hotel took no more than 15min; checking in ran smoothly. The rooms were clean and tidy and the décor had been maintained; the only disappointment here was that my room was not hovered once during my stay. The breakfast selection was varied. I recommend the the fruit selection, the breads and the egg station. I didn't think much of the bacon or sausages. The golf course is fantastic; I recommend lessons with Neil Connolly. The outdoor pool looked great. A free shuttle service is available three times a day to the mariner. All in all a very nice hotel.
Spa treatments were good. However not all facilities were working. The main bar does not open until 2.30pm so snacks and drinks only available poolside. Hotel is clean but bathrooms were a little cramped. Costs 6 euros by taxi to the marina. Good choice of restaurants.
A modern resort created in the 1970s, Vilamoura is famous for its marina and several championship golf courses. What it lacks in local character it makes up for in facilities as one of Europe’s largest leisure complexes, including most water sports. By night the marina is the lively hub with bars and eateries for all budgets, plus a casino and nightclubs. The adjacent beach of Praia da Falésia is recommended.
