Would definitely stay at this hotel again. Staff very friendly Great bus links into town. Bus to station stops just outside the hotel - Pharo stop- 30 mins from station. Also 5 mins walk from Catalan beach and 10 min walk from main Vieux Port area
Pool an added delight after long days sight seeing. Did not eat in the hotel as menu looked a bit dull.

Clean, spacious room at a great price. Comfortable beds, clean shower/bathtub, air conditioning a plus in the hot weather. Staff are friendly and helpful, and best of all the hotel is conveniently located on the Vieux-Port, steps away from the boats, buses, metro, markets, bars and restaurants.
We had an excellent stay at this hotel and would strongly recommend it for anyone looking for outstanding value. there is easy access via bus to the central harbour area with museums, restaurants, city centre, boat excursions, metro, and trams. you can either stay poolside in the hotel or venture to the small sandt beach-within ten minutes walk, plenty to do-day or night.
Nice hotel on the edge of the port
Nice and clean modern hotel also would appear to be popular with conferences so sometimes lots of business people packing out the lobby areas .
Stayed for four nights and had to get my own bowls , cups glasses
cutlery every morning not good enough for 4 star so take your own not being replaced quick enough stayed in raddison hotels elsewhere never had this issue before.

Though on the higher end of the scale, you get what you pay for, and with Sofitel Marseille Vieux Port you definitely get your money's worth! The facilities are all up to date and in perfect condition. The room size was good, and we had one with a balcony and port view, definitely a big plus. Besides being physically great, the hotel staff couldn't have been better. Professional, polite and personable, they never let us down. A special thanks to concierge Djamila who really helped us with dealing with a very difficult medical situation confronting my wife. The hotel is about a ten to fifteen minute walk down to the majority of restaurants and the old section of Marseille, but it has a great location overlooking the port and some walking is what makes travel even more enjoyable. In short, if in your budget, you'll definitely be pleased with booking a stay at this fine hotel.
Stayed here for a couple of nights in September. All we wanted was somewhere to sleep and the large room was very good indeed - double bed, sofa bed, kitchenette with hob, fridge, microwave, kettle and coffee maker. Could have done with a few more glasses. Bathroom had bath with shower over and again was ample size. Everything was clean and we were required to make sure all the kitchen items were cleaned and put away and we also had to put the rubbish outside at the end of our stay. Towels and bedding were provided and all were clean. Our room was on the 5th floor but there is a lift so that was not a problem. The premises seemed secure with your room keycard being used to open the main entrance door out of hours. The apartments are on a fairly quite street and are just one street away from the port and ideally located for visiting this interesting city. The traffic in the city is very busy and I would certainly not recommend having a car as you will struggle to find anywhere to park - far quicker to walk around and use the buses, tram or metro. Our son lives in Marseille and we will certainly stay here again on our next visit. Recommended if you prefer an apartment rather than hotel.
Excellent position overlooking harbour. Shaded balcony with table & chairs. Good soundproofing & efficient & quiet air conditioning. Free nespresso machine in lounge to supplement kettle & supplies in room.
