“Would definitely recommend”

This hotel is easy to get to from the Hauptbahnhof and therefore is ideally situated for using public transport. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The rooms were quite spacious and clean and the beds were very comfortable. The rooms were quiet.

“Comfortable and handy”

Large, clean, comfortable room. Major public transport interchange just up the road combined with Vienna's excellent system means that it's easy to get to the main sites. No in-house breakfast meant a short walk up the road which was inconvenient but we knew this in advance.

“We would never go back to this holtel!”

It is very basic with old furniture and TV set. There are a lot of rusty stain in the bathroom and it is not in the center of shopping area in Vienna! There is no room service or mini bar. I would not recommend it to anyone.

“Satisfied with Hotel”

We were very satisfied with this Hotel. It was clean and comfortable. Our only concern was the distance it is from many of the sights we wanted to see, But, it was an interesting walk to the main sights and there is public transportation. There are many shops and eateries on the way to the old city. I would stay here again.

“Just Right!”

Tourhotel Mariahilf was just what we needed. My partner and I are not into 5-star accommodation. We prefer to spend our vacation money on sight-seeing, eating and good times. Hotels are for sleeping, showering and resting. Tourhotel was perfect. The staff is extremely friendly and helpful. We were centrally located and could come and go easily. I do wish they had a better internet connection. We paid to check in online, but their setup was very slow. Fortunately, there was a restaurant next door with better internet options. I would definitely recommend this place to travelers.

“Good value Hotel”

Decent hotel in a really convenient location - just round the corner from a U-bahn. Service fine and room comfortable. Option of smoking or non-smoking rooms. You have to pay extra for breakfast as it's not included.

“Good choice hotel”

Well located, if you enjoy walking, it is walking distance to most of the attractions. Hotel is very clean most of the receptionist were very nice and helpful. Easy access to the underground. for 8 Eu you have a very good breakfast buffet. Free access to internet from the lobby.

“Good location with nearby amenities”

We were pleased with the location of the hotel, right on one of Vienna's busiest streets. It isn't in the centre of the city, but the hotel is literally a couple of minutes' walk from the Westbahnhof, so we found the location was still ideal for getting around the city. To be honest, Vienna's excellent public transport system means that there isn't really any need to stay in the centre if you don't want to pay top rates there. The area is quite urban and busy, but we didn't find any problems with it. There are lots of small shops, bakeries and other amenities nearby, plus the Mariahilferbraeu bar/restaurant which is affiliated with the hotel. (We had dinner here and it was very nice with an informal atmosphere.) The room was very comfortable and bigger than we expected, as was the bathroom. It was also nice to have an easy chair and table in addition to the chair and desk. The reception staff were polite on the whole. However, when we checked out we had a slightly odd experience in which the staff were convinced that we had booked the room and breakfast (we hadn't - only the room) and more or less looked at us in disbelief when we corrected them. Ultimately they just shrugged their shoulders and had to let us go, which was a bit of a sour note to end on. Otherwise, a positive experience.
