“High quality, superb value”
Perfectly located for the city centre: 5 minutes walk, newly refurbed with top end fittings. We had an internal facing room and it was very, very quiet. Overall, superb value for money, we have stayed in similar comfort at 3x the price. One tip, don't buy their breakfast as it's very expensive, instead use Cafe Central on the corner opposite, luxurious breakfasting at sensible rates.
“Excellent”
Couldn't have been happier. Great spread at breakfast. Attentive staff. Helpful reception. Very clean rooms, good size.
“Pricey, nice hotel”
Rooms were the highlight, hotel itself not a value. Breakfast very mediocre for the euros?!
“Great Hotel”
Stayed at this hotel for two nights at the beginning of July. Nice rooms, beautiful bathrooms and amenities. The location of the hotel could not be any better - close to public transport and attractions. Would definitely recommend it.
“Lovely hotel in great location”
When we pulled up outside the hotel in a taxi we were surprised at how it looked. Not like your usual hotel but very understated in a lovely building. The check in procedure was quick and efficient and the staff spoke very good English which made up for my bad German! Our room was sufficiently large and clean with a smart, fresh feel. The only complaint was the air conditioning which was very slow to work but we do like a very cool room and if you left it on for long enough it was ok. We didn't eat breakfast at the hotel as it was very expensive (typical expense account prices) and there are many cafes around in which to eat. My other complaint was that they allow smoking in the bar so after a long day sightseeing when its nice to unwind with a quiet drink its far too smokey to relax and we had to take drinks out to the lobby where no one was smoking (but that is a problem in this part of Europe where smoking is allowed in most places). All in all a very enjoyable stay.
“Would come back here again.”
The Steigenberger Herrenhof is perfectly located for city sight seeing and local transport routes. Basic room are a good size and well presented.
“Great location”
It is a great hotel at a great location. Hotel and services are both excellent. We enjoyed our stay very much. In Vienna, things tend to close on weekend, I wished we had the breakfast option, for nothing was open before 10 AM on weekends.
“Convenient hotel”
We chose this hotel because of the great location, and it certainly was very convenient. The staff were very helpful and prompt with all our enquiries. The room was average size, clean and comfortable - more of business style rather than luxurious.
“Excellent all round”
An excellent choice of hotel, impeccably presented and in a great location. Very clean and comfortable room and helpful staff. I would recommend going to Cafe Central just up the road rather than having breakfast in the hotel for a touch of real Viennese style.
“A Vienna Gem”
A perfect hotel in Vienna's center. Minutes from all major downtown sites and shopping (Graben Street and Katnerstrasse). Elegant, quiet, clean, modern with some old world charm. More than reasonable price. A definite hotel to return to!
