Best hotel I've stayed in for a long time

Posted 17-Feb-2014
Stunning hotel! Could not fault anything other than the bars needed more staff as sometimes had to wait to be offered drinks.. Other than that, which really wasn't a problem the stay was amazing!

Nice Hotel very Friendly and kind staff.

Posted 17-Dec-2013
Pros: Location, cleaness, friendly staff...
Cons: spa and indoors pool is openning at 09:00 and should have been earlier to get a fresh up in the morning...
Special thanks to Hotel Staff Mehmet for his welcoming and explanatory guidance for Vienna. Also to Ahmad Yousef and Martin for his lovely approach for our requests...

Great experience

Posted 16-Dec-2013
Pros: Helpful staff, modern clean hi-tech room
Location: Nothing is far away in Vienna. This hotel is 1 minute from a tram stop and 3 minutes from Schottenring metro where lines U2 and U4 stop
A new luxury hotel, with every facility. Very helpful staff. Restaurant and sightseeing advice very good.

Beautiful hotel in a great location

Posted 15-Dec-2013
Pros: Beautiful decor, polite staff, excellent amenities in the room, great location.
Cons: Free tea and coffee in the rooms but ours wasn't refreshed each day until we specifically asked for them too. Milk sachets were not refreshed either.
Location: Very close to the main train station with easy access to the airport train (CAT), very central within walking distance of the old city centre.

A stay in a German hotel school

Posted 10-Dec-2013
Pros: Very friendly and willing staff, nice rooms
Cons: Service, see above
Location: Not too central, however if you get. Vienna Card with both tram and subway station in front of the door this can be easily overcome.
Very enthusiastic young staff but strangely not effective. The hotel as a real estate project is fine but the service lacks. Twice in a row they did not manage to clean our room while we were out for 5 or 6 hours, three days in a row we did not manage to get into the restaurant for breakfast. On one occasion they had set up a not too nice conference room as overflow location for breakfast. Whilst this was helpful execution was a bit poor. One very junior server brought a coup of hot water from the Nespresso machine for the husband's tea. Something we'd accept from a4 star holiday resort hotel in the Med but not from a luxury hotel in Vienna. But some nice touches too: check in had noticed that it was my birthday and I got a lovely little cAke, unfortunately though we had it in an unmade room. Lots of staff would always very friendly greet you but when you needed them they had to be somewhere else, were absent or not able to help. A pity as everybody wanted to do well. More supervision and guidance from more experienced management is needed, can't remember seeing any manager actively involved in the service.

Lovely hotel, fantastic breakfast

Posted 09-Dec-2013
Pros: comfortable clean and quiet room, very helpful and friendly reception/concierge staff, lovely lobby sitting area, best ever hotel bteakfast
Cons: Apart from the reception, concierge and one or two others who were always cheerful the occassional cheerful smile would be nice.
Location: Location is pretty good with easy access to trams buses and the underground. Exporing the city is easy from here.
Arrived at 11am with no wait for room. We spent the rest of that day and 2 further days exploring the beautiful city of Vienna. Beware of buying concert tickets from street promoters as the ones we purchased turned out to be in a hall, albeit a beautiful one, with rows of school assembly type chairs and not theatre conditions as we were led to expect. The orchestra and performance, if you could callit that, was mediocre. The biggest Christmas market in front of the Rathause (town hall) was seriously crowded and apart from the various food stalls was mostly cheap tat. Nothing is cheap.
