“Very Nice”
Very Impressed. Clean, fresh, comfortable. Convenient to Westbahnhof.
“Good location, average stay”
The hotel is located near the underground and suburban train stations, which made getting around town quick and easy. The hotel itself was average, definately not 4 star but it was ok for the 4 nights we stayed. Hotel staff were helpful and spoke English which was convenient. When we arrived at the hotel we were asked if we wanted to upgrade our room to one which had air conditiioning - we thought that would have come standard with the room, but not the case. We also had asked for a non-smoking room but the room itself smelt like old cigarettes and there was a random damp patch on the floor. The shower was pretty terrible and was either boiling hot or freezing cold - thank god for the bath! Overall, the hotel had its good and bad points, but the highlight was definately the proximity to public transport.
“Disappointed.”
We arrived late after coming from Salzburg. Suri the person behind the reception desk, was the most unpleasant that I've ever encountered in all of the places which I've visited in Europe. After getting the room numbers (we had 2 rooms), I started to ask a question, after 3 words spoken I was interrupted. Couldn't even finish my question. I was trying to get both room next to each other. His response was that they were overbooked. It is not my fault that the airlines and hotels continue to overbook. He was rude and didn't even attempt to give us an option, or perhap tell us that as soon as another room came available we could have it. We witnessed the next day, another guest checking in with a different person, and she not only got a smile, but suggestions as to what was near by, and the MUST in Vienna. The carpet in our room was old, faded and stained to no avail. The room size and bathroom were confortable. In Viennese standard this is a 4 stars hotel, I would only give it 3 stars. The saving grace for this hotel was the friendliest, attentive, warm and caring bartender. If you ever stay at this hotel go and visit Ismet, he made it worthwhile. The hotel is within walking distance to the train station and underground transportation (metro). This was an asset. We came in from Salzburg, and just walked about a block to the hotel. Also right in the train station is where the U station is which takes to to the center of Vienna.
“Nice hotel”
Not impressed, it´s a nice hotel well located, good service and not so expensive.
“Great hotel in Vienna!”
You can literally see this hotel from the Westbahoff train station. Vienna doesn't have one big train station like most cities (they're doing construction on one now), but rather 3 large stations spread throughout the city. The good news is, it is very easy to get around via the Underground system. From the the Westbahnhoff station, you can take the U3 or U6, which will quickly and easily take you to the other main inter-city train stations, and right to the city center. Since the hotel is about a block from the train station, it is nearly impossible to get lost. The hotel staff was incredibly helpful and awesome. They answered all of our dumb questions (like "how do I buy a train ticket?") with the utmost patience and friendliness. They also booked a tour for us that picked us up right from the hotel. The room itself was comfortable and a little fancy (they upgraded us to a super for free!), the breakfast good but expensive. There was a nice shower and it was clean, decorated well, and there are prints from Vienesse artists all over the hotel.
“Convienent Hotel in Vienna”
This hotel is well-placed and easily accessed to the airport by bus and to the main shopping street of Vienna. However, it's a typical chain hotel without much unique character. But at a good price and great location, it makes a very suitable option in Vienna.
“Location wins over minuses”
A walk of less than one hundred metres to regional train, underground and trams makes this hotel a winner in spite of the desk staff. Information sought from them on the whereabouts of a popular tourist attraction resulted in valuable time wasted and us being sent to the wrong suburb of Vienna. Desk staff should have this information at there fingertips if they cannot answer themselves. Hotel rooms were clean and comfortable and the included breakfast was ample, varied and delicious.
“nice breakfast”
-convenient location access to the city center by train, to AP by bus. -wide variety of breakfast selections. -tidy and clean room
