“Satisfying experience, great location.”
We chose the Mercure for its location, mainly, balanced with the cost. It was easy to get to, comfortable to stay at, and had front desk staff that were helpful (especially since we arrived early in the morning and needed to keep our bags there until check-in later).
“Medium hotel in good location”
Hotel was in a good location, but it was a little run down. Europe definitely has a different standard for the star ratings than in the USA. I recommend the hotel to travelers that are looking for a lower priced hotel in a good location. Experience was fine, just not great.
“Everything is right”
Great staff who helped with anything and everything from booking restaurants and taxis to assistance with the free computer. Stayed 4 nights in mid May and it was just what we wanted and hoped for.
“Giovanni in Vienna”
Hotel was fine and very very conveniently located. Breakfast was not included, while I thought I had asked for it online (but I could not prove it, so I left it). Major problem was that the window of my room was looking out onto a staircase, and people could look in..
“WOULD DEFINITELY STAY HERE AGAIN”
Our second visit to Vienna we had a better idea of the area we wanted to be in or close to. Mercure Secession Wien fitted the bill and the budget. Our room was streetside and perfect with a view of the city. It was clean and comfortable. The only very minor negative was the shower. There was a wide half glass door along the tub, but because of the location of the showerhead, it was difficult not to wet the floor. Ask for extra towels. Beyond that the location was fabulous. Just a few steps away from the Naschmarkt which has great food shops (cheeses, breads, meats) and pubs. A good walk to the Ringstrasse and a relatively short walk to Mariahilfestrasse. The U-bahn is a short block away. Breakfast was FANTASTIC. We had an early flight on our last day and my husband was VERY UPSET to miss breakfast. The lady who worked breakfast was VERY GOOD. After our first breakfast, she remembered what type of coffee we liked and had it ready at the table without asking the next morning. WE HAVE NO COMPLAINTS. THE HOTEL WAS VERY GOOD. THE STAFF FRIENDLY AND EFFICIENT.
“Mercue Secession Wien Hotel”
The Hotel was great Value for Money. It was very clean and tidy. There's a small bar down stairs and friendly and helpful receptionists 24 hours. We didn't have breakfast in the hotel, so unable to comment. The Hotel is Central and five minutes walk to the tube station. There's a Market just down the road with lot's of nice foods. Your can't go wrong with staying at the Mercue Secession Wien Hotel. I really enjoyed my stay.
“Great Hotel!!! Spacious and confortable rooms!!!”
This is a great hotel!!! It may not look that way from the outside, but once you're in the room that's another story. It has the metro a 100 meters away, the famous Nachtmarkt is right on the corner and a great Wine & Co. store is also in the corner. Great view from our window. The hotel was incredible. Have all the amenities and a helpful staff!!! We enjoyed our stay so much, we'll return to the Mercure Secession the next time we're in Vienna!!!
“Nice small hotel”
Nice hotel in very nice neighborhood. Would definitely come back.
“Very pleasant and friendly hotel”
The hotel is situated pretty close to the center of the city and surrounded with a lot of food and merchandise stores. The subway and tram are both in walking distance, but we used them rarely. The English speaking staff is very friendly and helpful. We were pleasantly surprised with the almost 24/7 free internet access in the lobby. Would be just fantastic if the breakfast were included for the same price.
“Good Hotel in Vienna”
Excellent location - very convenient to trams and other public transportation. Staff was friendly - all spoke English. Rooms were quiet and typically European - spartan. We had no problems and would stay there again.
