Excellent value for money

Posted 13-Oct-2014
I stayed here for 6 nights as I had work in Vienna. Expected a budget hotel for the price but was pleasantly surprised when I saw the posh and very modern lobby area which also had an enclosed garden area. The room was large, clean and adequate for my needs. Close to Pratern station as well.

Nice hotel but room did not smell nice

Posted 30-Sep-2014
Pros: The location is quite good.
Cons: the smell
Location: The underground is less than 5 minutes walk and the town center is a couple of stops on the tube (equal a couple of minutes)
We stayed in one of the rooms with garden view. The room is spacious and with a nice décor. A bit dark (the building at the back has a U shape and I guess we were on the north facing side) but not to be an issue as there’s plenty of lampshades in the room to create a nice atmosphere. The big issue was the SMELL! Perhaps the room used to be a smoker’s room before…not sure, bottom line is: the room stank. We kept the window open a lot but the smell was strong. Every time we got back in the room the smell hit us! Perhaps the smell was so deeply impregnated in the carpet that no matter how long the window was kept open the smell would not go away. I would not want to stay in that room again. On the positive side we had a peak in the rooms with road view. Although the view is not amazing (just another building opposite) the room we saw had a nice wood flooring and looked much much nicer (pls note you pay more for these rooms). We could see there was plenty of light as those rooms have 2 windows and it looked much smarter in general. I would definitely consider staying in a room with road view as it looked very nice and hopefully it would not have a bad smell. The location is quite good. The underground is less than 5 minutes walk and the town center is a couple of stops on the tube. The area around the hotel is not particularly pretty or attractive, but safe. You can also take a 15 / 20 minutes’ walk into town. The staff is very nice and the garden, hall and breakfast area pretty

Inexpensive hotel conveniently located

Posted 26-Sep-2014
Pros: Friendly staff. Convenient location. Honesty bar.
Cons: Coffee-making facilities, safe in the room for valuables, better sound-proofing against noise from adjacent rooms
Location: Prater amusement park is nearby with the Wiener Riesenrad ferris wheel as featured in The Third Man
I stayed on the hotel for four nights for a medical conference held at the nearby Messezentrum conference centre. The hotel is a 20 minute walk from the conference centre. Praterstern station is 5 minutes walk away and from there the S7 train takes you to the airport in 30 minutes and the U1 tube takes you to the city centre in three stops. Facilities at the hotel are rather spartan

Nice hotel with good location.

Posted 16-Sep-2014
Pros: People at the front desk are always helpful and smiling. The hotel location is great. Very convenient.
Cons: Our bed sheets were dirty (coffee spilled). I would have liked them to be changed.
Location: The Prater, of course.
The hotel has probably better rooms, but we chose to have a small room and pay less. It WAS a VERY small room with no windows, just 2 roof windows for light and air. On another hand, the shower is fantastic.

close to Prater, recommended

Posted 05-Sep-2014
great hotel , very friendly staff and a good location only minutes from the Prater! Parking is a problem at times, you got to park on the street and pay from 9 am until 10 pm 2 euros an hour. Staff was friendly enough to arrange phone call to the city and collected the money. We were lucky enough to find a spot on a side street next to the hotel. Still a good stay! AAA

Good for budget

Posted 03-Aug-2014
Pros: Clean and cheap
Cons: New mattresses
Location: 5 mins walk to train station.
Pleasant stay. Hotel was clean and staff were pleasant. Room was very small and the mattress was a bit worn so not overly comfy. For the rate I paid though was very good value for money.

Everything was great, but if room windows are faced the street and open, it can be noisy outside.

Convenient location

This hotel was easily within walking distance of the main train station, and of Stephensplatz. The room was cheerful and cozy and clean. They offered baggage storage service which worked well for us.

Decent hotel but not a great area

Posted 15-Apr-2014
The hotel was fine though no working lifts as were being replsced. Thankfully I was on 1st floor. My friends were on 4th and rooms there small and dated. First floor rooms spacious. It has an honesty bar with decent prices but the area really isnt good other than good transport links to centre and airport
