Weekend in Vienna

Posted 27-Oct-2014
Pros: Nice modern decor, particularly nice in the bar with soothing changeable lighting.
Cons: Limited hanging space but no draws! If I had been staying a week this would have been a problem.
Location: 15 minute walk to centre
3 nights stayed and everything catered for. There was an issue with the cab that we booked to go to the airport, but the Reception staff were on it straight away and sorted it.

Nice place to stay

Posted 17-Oct-2014
The hotel is excellent, and I found it to be a nice place to stay. The only challenge was one of access and parking. They have a small parking garage, but doesn't hold many cars, and it gets congested. Hard to get in and out as well.

Write your comment.Dear value guest, Thank you very much for your review. It’s a pleasure to read through your warm and motivating words. Parking costs € 20 for 24 hours in our garage – alternative there is short-parking-zone on the streets throughout the whole city throughout the whole day with a cost of € 1,20 / hour. See you again soon, best regards Daniel Zwieb Assistant General Manager Hotels IMLAUER&Nestroy Wien

Lovely room with very comfy beds

Posted 10-Aug-2014
Pros: The beds were very comfortable. It was quiet and so had a really good sleep each night.
Cons: Some staff could be more helpful at providing advice on local places for an evening meal. Provide a set of toiletries for each person in the room.
Location: It is a little way out of the main part of the town but it was easy walking. We didn't really investigate the area around the hotel.
Lovely modern hotel, very clean and tidy. It is about 15 to 20 minutes walk from the centre of Vienna. Food in the hotel is fine but very limited menu, they could do with widening it a bit for the weary tourist who doesn't have the energy to go hunting for food after a full day's sight seeing. It was very useful having tea and coffee making facilities. They only provided one set of toiletries which seemed strange as there were two of us in the room.

Charming neighborhood, comfortable and modern room

Posted 29-Jul-2014
Charming area, good staff, a perfect hotel for a weekend in Vienna. The rooms are small, so if you're planning on spending lots of time in your room, look elsewhere. But if you want a comfortable and modern place to sleep after a day of exploring Vienna, this is the place to stay.

Great Hotel, fairly close to historical centre

Posted 26-Jul-2014
Pros: Good, clean, comfortable, quiet, reasonable sized room with decent sized shower cubicle
Cons: Breakfast seemed expensive, selection wasn't particularly to my taste (more suited to Continental Europeans!). Why 2 single sheets on a double bed??
Location: located across the canal from the historical centre, but was in reasonable walking distance. I mainly used nearby u-bahn, which was very easy to use,
Great hotel. I would definitely recommend it. It is linked to the Nestroy hotel next door. I was able to comfortably relax in the room. I didn't hear hardly any noise from elsewhere and the room and shower room/toilet were modern, clean and a reasonable size. room was properly cleaned daily. Room was properly air conditioned to a decent temperature - which I have found to be surprisingly rare in mainland Europe I asked for a double bed (I have long legs) which they kindly provided. I don't know why they put two single sheets on it, rather than a double, though. It meant my feet would occasionally pop out. It was near enough to Historical centre without being as expensive as those were. I could have walked into centre but tabor strasse underground was very close by anyway. (Nestroy and Prater Strasse stations were also close by). I loved the underground system (u-bahn) which is so easy to use. In hindsight I should have bought a 72 hour ticket to use it, but it was fairly cheap anyway. Hotel recommended nearby Leopold restaurant - they were right, it is a great restaurant (has an english menu). There are plenty of other local eateries though.
