“good value at the expedia rate”

This was good value at the Expedia rate at the time. We would not have paid the official rate as quoted in the hotel. The location is convenient for the main bus station, Sudtiroler Platz, and will be even better once the main railway station has been rebuilt. (At this moment, it is just a huge hole in the ground) The area felt safe, and although just off the busy Wiedener Hauptstrasse (a main artery and shopping street), surprisingly quiet. Close to Belvedere Palace with its art galleries and Christmas market, a quick tram ride or trip by underground from the centre. Rooms were clean, air conditioning and all other facilities in good working order. Breakfast was a very satisfactory continental buffet. Did not use bar etc. Staff were friendly and helpful. As the location is pretty central, and Vienna is a crowded city, don't expect 'garden view' to mean looking out onto a garden. Try 'tiny back yard with a little bit of foliage'. This is normal for the area, just thought the description a little misleading.
