“It's OK”
The hotel is located in a slightly run down area - although close to the train station. The staff at reception were helpful and friendly. The room looked like it hadn't been done up since the 70's - almost very cute in a retro way. The bed was rock hard and I had to use the duvet from the other bed to soften it a bit. The room was 27 degrees the whole time and the air on didn't work to cool it down - this was the middle of winter. It made it too hot to sleep. The included breakfast was great - a good choice of bread, fruit, pastries etc. don't turn up before 7 though as the food is not al out by then. The included wireless was excellent and fast. Cheap but next time I'll stay in a better location for a little more.
“It is very good value. I will be back.”
It was very good deal. Nice room and close to shopping and historic area. We enjoyed this location. Very easy to get to ALL Vienna attraction. We will be back!!!
“will be glad to stay in Das President on my next visit to Vienna”
The hotel is close to Mariahilferstrasse so you will be close to the main shopping street, a lot of restaurants etc. it is also close to the metro station Westbahnhof (line U3) so you can easily get to the city center, stephansplatz without line changing.
“Worst Hotel Ever”
The beds are so tiny if you have single and they are so uncomfortable. the room was boiling hot i called the guy at reception he said the hotel is central heated and he is cold doing ngiht shift so he is keeping it on high and i said i cant sleep im paying guest, he said some are cold some are hot so it will stay on this temperatue, i advised i cant sleep. he said open window, i said its noisy outside he said oh well nothing that can be done. i did open the windows and it did nothing to cool the room down. breakfast was average better in other hotels in Austria. only 1 female was helpful the males staff so rude and what hotel doenst lower temperature when guests are complaining. so the night guy is more important then paying guests. rude people worst hotel ever.
“Very good Hotel”
Good Hotel! Close to 3 U-Bahn stations, which helps a lot to get anywhere inside the Vienna. Located near shopping street "Mariahilfer Str" - we spend 2 days shopping on this street. There is several supermarkets near the hotel and 24 hours mini-markt in U-Bahn station, cheapest was "Penny" supermarket - so we haven't taken breakfast (which is not included) we've just bought everything in "Penny". The room was big and really satisfactory from all the sides - there was a bathtub, safe, refrigerator in the room. The windows are looking at "Raimund Theater". There was a problem with hair drier but just changed a room.
“Quality visit”
Good quality hotel with large, clean room and excellent breakfast. Short walk to Metro and only a few stops to the center of Old Vienna. Would definitely stay here again if ever in Vienna.
“A pleasant place to stay”
The hotel in a quiet backwater of Vienna makes for an ideal base to explore all parts of the city. The rooms were clean and comfortable and the extensive breakfast can accommodate all tastes The hotel is only a couple of hundred yards from the Gumpeldorfer "U" station and a 3 day pass costing 13.50 Euros is a must. This gives unlimited ravel on the underground, buses and trams. The underground is very clean and the trains punctual and only minutes apart. Changing trains could not be easier and with an underground map anywhere in the city is easily accessible.
“I liked it!”
Good location: close to metro; to some shopping-walking areas; quiet district; Very helpful and kind staff; clean hotel and rooms; rooms are big; tasty full breakfast; free wi-fi! BUT: small TV-set.
“Great Hotel, excellent location, will be going back.”
If you love art and architecture this is the place to go, it's so diverse and there is something for everyone. Everything is reasonably priced and the restaurants are great. Would recommend Vienna to anyone that hasn't been. It's a charming and beautiful city.
“Good for the price....”
I enjoy staying on this side of town when the weather is good. The rate was very good for this level of hotel.
