“Convenient, clean and friendly hotel”

A&O Wein Stadthalle is conveniently located near U6 line and several tram lines. The hotel itself is very clean. While it is not a 'boutique' hotel oozing with charm it does have an unusual brick vaulted cellar bar. The staff are extremely helpful and polite and our room was spotless. We liked the neighbourhood as it seemed a bit more 'real' than central Vienna, there's a dodgy strip club near the hotel but it didn't cause us any concern. There's a wonderful local bar on the corner opposite the station great for morning coffee and eggs or last beer on your way back from a day in town (it has a smoking bar and a separate non smoking room, very common in Vienna, much to our confusion). We had a wonderful trip, and will use the hotel when we return next year.

Only complaint is maybe a bit noisy. Great service from staff. Super close to Metro system and mall. Many places to eat near the hotel. Breakfast was super. Would come back again. Great price.

We stayed with a group of 4 for a very low price..we had beds, restroom, bath, TV....no fancy, but very practical.

“You get what you pay for I guess”

This is not really a hotel , but a hostel+hotel. They have 'hotel rooms' in addition to the hostel rooms. While the rooms look decent and fairly clean, I did notice a nasty cockroach in my room. As for the service, if you need anything, make sure to ask the LADIES behind the desk as the men are not very helpful. The hotel is very close to a shopping center (with a poker room!) and the subway to take you everywhere in the city. THe main problem with this place is that it is right on the corner of 2 busy streets and there is a lot of traffic noise in the rooms. We moved rooms twice to no avail, still lots of noise. Also, check in time is at 4 !! So we after a long trip we had to hang around town for hours before we could checkin. They have a 'luggage room' where you can drop you bags, and its locked but not guarded and everyone can ask for the key ! All in all I would not go here again, mainly because of the noise.

Situated in a slightly dodgy red light district...but apart from that everything was fine! Very secure, close to the u-bahn, clean, friendly atmosphere with loads of facilities such as internet, bag storage, and bar. Maybe more suited for large groups as opposed couples.

“ok for a night or two”

I stayed for only one night and it was ok. I had a four bed room and it was big enough and clean, but very nosy due to the street in front. The hotel is near a mall so if you feel like shopping it's easy.
