“Way beyond my expectations.”

I had not been to this hotel since it was owned by the Red Roof. Actually it wasn't bad back then - quite satisfactory. So I thought it would be pretty much the same. Which is why I was so pleasantly surprised. Everything had been upgraded, and yet the price was still more than reasonable. The design and decor of the room felt richer by far than previously, even comparing favorably against higher level chains I have stayed at. The breakfast room and provisions had also been upgraded.....nicer furniture and lay-out, and neat and clean as you would want. I couldn't ask for more, so I am giving it the highest ratings available.

“Not bad for Barstow”

Our stay was very nice. The staff was pleasant and knowledgable. Check-in was a breeze. I would recommend to anyone passing through Barstow to definitely give this hotel a try.

“NO WAY would this be a place to stay!”

Front desk staff was very uncooperative about putting me in Non Smoking room. It took about 30 to 45 min, in a not busy motel, to change the room from smoking to NS. First impression, terrible. The bedding and pillows were too old, and so uncomfortable, it felt like I like I was camping. My neck was sore from flimsy pillows. The room was not properly cleaned, it had bodily fluid left behind on the curtains. It was gross. They should have paid me to stay. The room was decorated nice, and had a microwave and fridge, but it was just a dressed up OLD motel, with cheaper than cheap bedding, that is just not par, not to mention, the uncleanliness was just disgusting. Right off the freeway, kind of loud, and Lot's of semi truckers in the area. Not ideal if you have kids, or alone.

“Works in a pinch...”

Room was nice (although very smokey even for a smoking room). Air Conditioning didn't work. No roll away beds available. Don't leave anything out in the parking lot. We've had multiple things stolen from our vehicles when we stay there.

“Great for the Price”

This is an older hotel but was great place to stay for the price. Near a lot of eateries and shopping. This was a stopping point for us. Room comfort was reasonable for the 1 night stay. Ask for rear west side. Breakfast is not great. Wifi is minimal on linking up. Staff was helpful.
