Beautiful hotel and location

Posted 15-Jul-2015
Pros: Room, location, restaurant
Cons: Electical outlets in the room were awkward for recharging cellphones and using laptop. Only one outlet by the table.
Location: Best location in Sidney, ferry to Anacortes nearby, town on the doorstep, on the waterfront, have breakfast on the pier.
Room was close to perfect, beautiful, largish, some view even though it was not on the waterfront side. Very nice bathroom. Having real wine glasses and a corkscrew in the room was a nice touch that I have not seen before. The Restaurant was also excellent, very good food for reasonable prices and excellent service, as well as a lovely waterfront view and a large patio. The price of the room was only slightly higher than other locations in Sidney and well worth the difference. Book early as this is not a large hotel and it sells out.

Too expensive for what it is.

The hotel is a 3 star at best pretending to be a 5 star. No a/c in the public areas make it seem like stepping into a sauna when you leave your room. Made us pay for parking but then there were no spots available. Staff did not care, wouldn't give money back.

Stay in Sidney!

Posted 25-Jun-2015
Pros: Views of the pier were beautiful. Has coin operated laundry. Books to borrow next to the elevator.
Cons: Upgrade breakfast selections...current offerings seemed limited.
Location: Bookstores, ferry to San Juans, aquarium, nice shops and restaurants.
We stayed in Sidney as a base for a trip to the San Juan islands. The hotel is walking distance to the Anacortes Ferry, so you don't need to rent a car. The views from our room were beautiful, and staff was very helpful.

I needed quiet time and relaxation, and this hotel delivered both. The spa was luxurious. Highly recommended. The hotel bar and restaurant featured genial hosts and Kyle, a bar guru.

Lovely hotel

Posted 24-Jun-2015
Pros: The bathroom is spacious and modern. The bookshelves in every floor.
Cons: Provide coffee and some danish for early travelers as there are no restaurant open yet.
Location: Nice stroll or even a good jog along the pier at the same enjoying the nice view of the water and the boats docked, good shopping, restaurants around.
We stayed just for one night as we had an early flight the next day. We wished we stayed for a couple of days. The hotel is very nicely located in quaint town of Sidney, close to shopping and good restaurants, facing a nice view of the pier. The staff is very nice, and very helpful. The room is very clean. Overall, it was a very nice experience.

Loved it!

Posted 22-Jun-2015
Pros: Hotel was very clean, rooms terrific with top notch features and a terrific bed. GREAT Staff. Parking was good, but there was a fee.
Cons: Restaurant was pricey so we didn't eat there but DID enjoy the Café for their coffee. The Café closes a little early though.
Location: Beautiful views; well maintained walking path; beach; two piers; Boondocks restaurant short walk away; FULL grocery store kitty corner to hotel.
Terrific hotel in a great location! Had a Junior Suite with a GREAT view on a large balcony with chairs and a table provided. Full kitchenette with large frig/freezer; dishwasher; dishes; microwave; coffee maker. Nice table and chairs as well as easy chair for watching TV. Terrific! Gorgeous bathroom with NICE stall shower and very nice tub, double sinks. WOW. When you stay, be sure to go to the Boondocks restaurant just a short walk away. 9732 First Street, just down the street from the Grocery store that you can see from the Hotel. Very close, easy walk and Boondocks was super fun (live entertainment); generous portions; TERRIFIC staff. This hotel is in a GREAT location. Really nice walking paths right there too and just gorgeous views.

Lovely, convenient location

Posted 16-Jun-2015
Pros: Everything.
Cons: Nothing we can think of.
Location: Very close to interesting shops, restaurants and the water.
We stayed in the hotel as we were flying out of YGH early the next morning. We had a very restful sleep and loved the wood-fired thin crust pizza we enjoyed in a pizza house only 4 blocks from the hotel. We would stay there again.
