Convenient and walkable location

Posted 17-Jan-2015
Pros: Welcoming yet not too formal. Feel like you are staying in an apartment vs. a hotel.
Have stayed here on business several times and always been impressed. This was a pleasure weekend and did not disappoint.

Great hotel, great location!

Posted 14-Jan-2015
What a gem! From check in to check out the staff were helpful, friendly and accommodating. My room was beautiful and the bed was amazingly comfortable. The restaurant food was great; a little pricey but for the quality and freshness, it was reasonable. Walking distance to the Breakwater, the Inner Harbour, Downtown and the Legislature, the Oswego is the ideal place to stay for the business or adult visitor to the city. I look forward to staying here on my next trip to Victoria!

Perfect for the working traveller

Posted 14-Jan-2015
Pros: Service, facilities, location, amenities - pretty much everything.
Cons: The fridge in the room made a high pitched signal when cycling - we notified housekeeping. And paying $15 for parking seemed a little steep.
Location: Near the Legislature and Inner Harbour, convenient to downtown/much more quiet. Lovely neighbourhood location, walking distance to lots of restaurants
We needed a quiet, convenient, well-equipped place to stay while in Victoria on business. This studio suite fit the bill and more. What a spacious, well-appointed bathroom! Comfortable bed and thoughtful turndown service (both chocolate AND a glass of water beside the bed. And the service in the restaurant at breakfast was probably the most professional server I've ever experienced, she was stellar. We'll be back!

Very comfortable, inviting and extremely quiet and peaceful Food is also excellent in the restaurant. So much better than the big impersonal hotels.

Beautiful, big, comfortable rooms

Posted 11-Jan-2015
Pros: Large rooms, new decor, staff very professional, underground parking.
Cons: Maybe instead of having the person come around for turn-down service at night (5-7pm both nights) ask people if they want to use it when checking in.
Location: Too bad can't see the water very well, walking distance to downtown, museum, groceries in James Bay, lots of restaurants.
We booked in last minute needing a hotel the next evening for two nights, and the pictures that we saw on Expedia and the hotel's website were very accurate and appealing. Love how big the rooms are with a full kitchenette and a large living area. Huge windows! Nice new furniture and facilities.

Great Staff, Great Location

Posted 04-Jan-2015
Pros: I loved the view, the location and the decor. Clean, understated but left nothing to be desired.
Cons: Nothing
Location: We went to Craigdarroch castle and to Butchart Gardens. Loved the location to the downtown where we walked, talked, shopped and dined easily.
We only stayed for one night but the staff treated us as if we were there forever. They were kind, courteous and helpful. I would definitely pick this place again. We were walking distance to and from the clipper and had no trouble finding the hotel as the name of the Street is OsWego. :-D We checked in quickly, and found our Studio Suite stocked with all kinds of amenities. As soon as we got to our room, the front desk called within 20 mins to make sure our room was to our liking. Nice Touch. Turn down service was great and completed with a fresh glass of mint water on each night stand.

Wish we stayed longer

Posted 31-Dec-2014
Pros: Location, decor, cleanliness and helpful staff!
Considering we were doing a quick overnight stay, we were amazingly surprised at how awesome this hotel was! We both wished we were staying longer. The room was immaculate, well stocked and an excellent price!
