Beautiful suite!

Posted 03-Jul-2015
Pros: Beautiful surroundings. Great ammenities. Spacious rooms. Wonderful staff.
Cons: The sleeper sofa was horribly uncomfortable. You could feel the springs.
Location: Walking distance to shopping, restaurants, the harbor, etc. Great location!
We stayed for 1 night and wished for more. Our suite was beautiful - just what we needed for our family of 5 adults. Check-in went smoothly - very friendly staff. The lobby was spotless and welcoming. We could walk everywhere which made it very convenient. Just wish we could have stayed longer!

Comfortable in Victoria

Posted 28-Jun-2015
We just got lucky when booking this hotel. We love nice hotels but just did not think the Fairmont Empress, that was highly recommended by friends, was worth the price. The Oswego was a very pleasant surprise! We had 3 delicious meals in the restaurant. Convenient location. Nice suite, clean and well-decorated.

Pros: This was a convenient hotel to every thing we wanted to visit, the staf was helpful and friendly. The room we had, had a small kitchen, which we used,
Cons: The furniture was beat up and dirty. The pillows were uncomfortable, there was a mold smell in the bathroom.
Location: We were within walking fo most of the main attractions, and driving to and from was easy.
Very helpful staf, convenient location, easy access to the places we wanted to see. The pillows were lumpy, the bed was good. The decor was pleasant, if pretty shop worn. The kitchen was useful.

Huge suites. Spacious. Great balconies. Convenient for downtown, Beacon Hill, fishermans wharf. Easy in and out parking. 15$ a day, however. Would definitely stay there again.

Nice hotel and close to everything

Posted 16-Jun-2015
Hotel and staff were very nice. Very central to most of the sights in Victoria. Would be great if they put up curtains because it's very bright in the room very early and same at night (it was hard to get my kids to go to sleep!). Also, there was some construction across the street during the weekday that we could hear from our room.

Located on a quiet street close to Inner Harbour

Posted 16-Jun-2015
Pros: I like it's quiet street location and full kitchen facilities.
Cons: I would love a pool.
Location: Close to ocean, parliament buildings, Empress hotel, Inner Harbour, restaurants, and US ferry.
The staff were very helpful and arranged a larger room quickly when we were joined by additional family members.

Nice hotel close to the Inner harbor of Victoria.

Posted 09-Jun-2015
Pros: We liked the hotel room with 2 bed-room and living room connecting to a kitchen. The restaurant in the hotel provided food we liked and the prices.
Cons: A construction site across the street. We could not sleep well when the construction started for the days in early morning.
Location: The location is perfect. 5-minute walking distance to the inner harbor. Walked for another 10 minutes, we found many restaurants and retail shops.
We liked the location of the hotel and the hotel room we stayed. Pricing was ok comparing with other high priced hotels near by. Staff was nice. The 2-bedroom with a large living room connecting to the kitchen was clean without any smell. It was our luck to get noise from the construction site across the street even that is nothing to do with the hotel itself. We could not sleep after 7 AM when the construction activities started - trucks and metal noise like a blacksmith shop.

Upgraded to a 2 bedroom during busy swiftsure weekend. Incredibly clean and comfortable. Exceptionally friendly staff. I always try and stay here and plan on doing so going forward.

Terrific hotel

Posted 26-May-2015
Pros: Great location. Welcoming staff.
Great hotel. Nice views. Was given a balcony upgrade upon check in. I stayed in a suite room which was very large. Amenities were useful. Very clean. Bedding and pillows made for a good nights' slumber. Good location, close to everything downtown.
