Scot

Nice hotel but a bit weird on room layout. 2 lounge chairs stuck in middle of our room's hallway. Dated decorations and plumbing. Charged $15 for parking above and beyond room rate. Only hotel to do that across 6 that we stayed at on this vacation.

Great place to stay in Victoria.

Posted 09-Sep-2014
Pros: Staff, location, room.
Cons: There is a lot of echo in the pool room. However the pool is well maintain and very clean.
Location: Great location. Lots to do near by. We did not have a car the first day and walked everywhere.

Exactly as described

Posted 07-Sep-2014
Everything was exactly as described on-line. Hotel is one block from ferry terminal and an easy walk, even dragging luggage. Was one block from Parliament and an easy walk to the main part of town. Really loved the ambiance of the hotel and the hotel restaurant served the best dinner I had during our 10 day vacation.

hotel getting too old

Posted 06-Sep-2014
Pros: see above comments
Cons: see above comments
our room was on the first floor, with no air condition or no ventilation in the room. The room was very small and the bathroom even smaller. Being on the first floor, we could not even the windows due to people walking by. I suffer from COPD and it is very important that I have a airy room,if we where staying in Victoria for more days ,we would have move to a better hotel. The restaurant was full with bus load of people which made it hard for hotel guess to get a table, both days we had to go out for most of our meals . We regret to say this is our last time staying at the Royal Scot and we would not recommend any of our friends to stay there.
