Excellent location and friendly service! Hotel a little dated and smelled stale!

“Good for families (but don't expect working wifi)”

This hotel has some real pluses, especially for families traveling with children. Suites have a generous size and fully equipped kitchens. There's a pool, sauna guest laundry, and game rooms, as well as a gift store stocking essentials for breakfast. The hotel is close to downtown sights and the ferries. On the downside, decor and furniture are dated and the entire hotel could do with a make-over. A real let-down was the wifi connection, which was not working in the room most of the time; staff was not able to help with this problem. If you need to do business while traveling and are dependent on reliable wifi-access in your room, choose a different place.

“Great location”

Location was excellent. Few minutes from the parliament buildings. Short walk to downtown area. Room was more than sufficient - flat screen tv, huge bed, nice bathroom. The hotel concierge were friendly - directing us to places and offering assistance where necessary. The hotel also offers a complimentary service if you have forgotten things like toothbrushes, razors etc. - nice touch. Hotel was also cheap. The only downside was the thin walls - noisy family upstairs and could hear stamping feet early in the morning/evening.

“We will be back!!”

We really enjoyed our stay . The room was kept clean. The staff were courteous and friendly. Hotel is located really close to the Inner Harbor, which is great. We like walking along the harbor. We went in the pool and the hot tub every night. The swimming pool was luke warm so enjoyable. It was so relaxing. I would highly recommend this hotel. Our stay was quite afordable because it is off season. We will definitely be back. Thank you.....

“Old property with new touches - smart Owners/Managment”

A old property in a good location with smart new touches, such as a 42 plasma tv, a decent clean and new shower head, a good TV program, good toweling , reasonable amenities, a shuttle service promise that actually delivers, all in all a good stay and will for sure return on my next visit to Victoria - well done Best wishes - a.n.

“Made for a memorable Victoria experience!”

Upon checking in, we were immediately upgraded, free, to our own suite. We took this news casually until we opened the door and saw that we were standing in our own apartment! It was furnished beautifully and comfortably and we were extremely impressed. We were only booked for one night and instantly decided that we need to extend our stay. The service was fabulous. Location perfect for walking around the inner harbour area/ downtown/china town. Very close to the Port Angeles ferry terminal (we took the ferry into Victoria and would recommend this trek as well). Overall, our experience was one to be repeated. We wouldn't hesitate to book at the Royal Scot again!

“Very convenient location, but a little tired..”

Very convenient location for a short stay in downtown Victoria. Shopping, sights, restaurants and theatres all within walking distance. Hotel has seen better days however and is looking a little tired and worn.

“Really nice hotel.”

As soon as I checked in they upgraded me to a suite which was really nice and big! It had a kitchen and extra bed too. The pool was so warm and the hot tub was great. This hotel is in need of some upgrades but it is very clean and the staff is very helpful and friendly, I will stay there again for sure!
