We loved that the hotel was so very close to the main city. No car need it to find parking or driving around. We liked the kitchen opportunity in our room We will be back again

Good location but old hotel and furniture. Average service. It’s a 2 star hotel so don’t expect anything fancy. You pay for location not the service in this hotel.

It’s such a noisy area and the room has very bad sound proof. You can hear your neighbours talking and the music downstairs at the pub. Someone lives by our room coughed all night like he is gonna die or something. The shower and hand wash area is crappy, the water does not come out smooth and straight seems like something stuck inside or the head is broken. Over 200cad per night? It’s more like an 100 or less worth of experience. The staff is professional and friendly and bed sheets is clean and that’s the only good part.

Nice little pool for the kids that was a good temperature. Quiet location right down town and easy walking to the harbour.

Nice basic room. Right in the heart of Victoria and great price. Not a big fan of the extra 20$ for a pet stay. Sandman Inn doesn’t charge.

I got charged for two rooms . I was not told until I checked in . I had to pay for two rooms even though they didn’t give me the keys to my other room I paid for. The bedrooms were not clean the room quality was bad and the noise was super loud . Worst place I have ever stayed in. I do not recommend this place to anyone .

Thank you for your feedback regarding your stay. To reiterate the conversation at departure: we did not charge you for two rooms, only for this reservation and stay. The second room was booked and paid for with another third-party company, which you have reached out to unsuccessfully for a refund, of which we have no involvement and were not privy to any of your information, including the credit card. We are disappointed to hear your room feedback, as this was not brought up at departure when trying to help resolve your double booking issues, in fact, you praised our customer service in trying to help resolve your problem.Nevertheless, thank you for your stay and feedback!

We appreciate your feedback. Although we don't have a restaurant/breakfast in the hotel, there is a pub/restaurant (Smith's) attached to our building that does provide breakfast each morning.

The harbour front is about 5 blocks away. Shopping and restaurants are close by. There is a small pay parking on site. My room faced the Main Street and it was noisy early in the morning with garbage pickup. I have stayed here numerous times with no issues.

Highly recommended. We wanted to find a place that was central and of the more affordable options in the area. It was both and more. The building has been kept up, the rooms are in good shape and clean. All the amenities we needed were provided and working. The rotating staff were polite and helpful, with the exiting staff even kind enough to let us store our bags after checkout while we roamed the city a bit more. We would definitely consider this location as our go-to for reliable options when visiting Victoria.
