Value for Money

Posted 20-May-2015
Pros: Quiet and comfortable room. Friendly and helpful staff. Central location.
Although a slightly older property than some of the surrounding hotels, the Harbour Towers offers great value for the price and is central to all the Victoria Harbour's tourist attractions and the BC Parliament Buildings. We had a quiet and comfortable sleep, and staff were super helpful.

Generally a worn out facility in need of update.

Posted 20-May-2015
Pros: Staff was helpful and proficient.
Cons: Most important would be new higher quality beds.
Very uncomfortable, bouncy queen size bed. noisy bathroom door rubs jamb, squeaky ceiling fan, old fixtures, no cream for coffee, no bottled water, dirty carpets in elevator and halls, noisy corridor doors slamming at all hours.

The room had an interesting smell to it, like perhaps it used to be a smoking room, and the TV wasn't working.

2nd Stay

Posted 19-May-2015
Cons: Should have mini fridge and free water, parking is too expensive, over and above hotel bill
good hotel, close to the harbour, Capital building and city center.

Dear Traveler, Thank you for taking the time to submit a review. We do indeed have a mini fridge in all of our guest rooms, in our standard rooms it is located in the cabinet under the TV. Our location is close to all that Victoria has to offer and I am happy to read that you enjoyed your stay for a second time. The team and I look forward to welcoming you back for a third visit. Kind regards, Tracey Sims General Manager

Family owned hotel in Victoria waterfront location

Posted 17-May-2015
Pros: Almost everything! Will stay there again soon.
Location: A short walk takes you to the waterfront eateries, such as Barb's Famous Fish & Chips (don't pass this one by!), Gilligan's, and a great Mexican place
The view from the hotel is spectacular. Its proximity to the Inner Harbour, Parliament buildings, museums, waterfront eateries, and even a nice greenspace park are well worth the stay. Its generously sized rooms and wide corridors may not be decored to the most modern standard, but they're comfortable and well appointed. A pretty well regarded steakhouse and comfortable lounge just off the lobby mean you don't need to leave the building, if you or the weather aren't up for a short walk to others nearby.

great location

Attended a conference and I am sorry to report that the Foodservice selections and service were not even close to expectations. Food was mediocre, and service very slow. We had dinner served at 9:30 in the evening. I would suggest a buffet setting to improve service level.

Comfortable and Great Value

Posted 04-May-2015
Pros: Great location, comfortable beds, quiet area.
Cons: No room service from the restaurant.
The Harbour Towers is a well maintained property near Victoria Harbour and offers quiet, welcoming surroundings in a slightly older property than some of the more expensive offerings in the same area. Has a great restaurant on-site, and parking is simple with good access to the Lobby in its underground garage.

Dear Roger, Thank you for taking the time to write a review and for scoring us 4 stars. Harbour Towers Hotel & Suites has been a staple in the community for many years, we take pride in keeping our building well maintained so thank you for noticing, we will be sure to share your comment with our maintenance team. Value is our brand at Harbour Towers and it certainly does differentiate us in the area, this also extends into Vic’s Steakhouse & Bar, our onsite Restaurant. We are thrilled that you enjoyed your stay and we look forward to welcoming you back soon. Kind Regards, Tracey Sims General Manager
