Nice hotel, walking distance to downtown.

Posted 27-Feb-2015
Pros: I like this hotel because it's close to everything.
Cons: At least offer a free continental simple breakfast which is not so bad.
Location: Close to a parliament building & walking distance to any restaurants.
It's great hotel for the price. Friendly front desk people. They make you comfortable. Close to Chinatown & scenery. I difinitely go back & stay there again.

Nice weekend getaway to Victoria

Posted 20-Feb-2015
Pros: Great location, fantastic view of the bay and the ocean from the upper floors. Well equipped workout facility. Good breakfast buffet.
Cons: Rooms are a little dated, along with some of the hotel d├ęcor. Would have been nice to have complimentary parking.
Location: Parliament building, Fishermen's Wharf, miles of walking and running trails. Close to shopping and excellent restaurants.
I chose this hotel after extensive research on many different travel sites. Expedia had the best rate at the pay now option, so we went ahead and booked. The hotel is located in very close proximity to the ferry lines from the U.S. It would be a fine location for travelers either with or without a vehicle. We arrived on the early ferry out of Port Angeles, and were at the hotel by 10:45 that morning. I stopped at the front desk to see if we could park our vehicle and begin exploring the city before check-in, and was quickly offered a room well before check-in time. The employee at the front desk was very helpful and attentive, and provided an excellent first day itinerary for our visit. The hotel itself appears to be a little old, and could use a refreshing. Nothing that would keep me from staying there again, just showing some signs of age. The room itself was very large, with a nice sized living room and a separate bedroom, plenty of space for two people. The bathroom was a little cramped, definitely a one man show. The free Wi-Fi was a plus as I did not opt to adjust my data plan while away for the weekend. We enjoyed the breakfast buffet each morning as there were plenty of healthy and hearty choices, and the staff was very attentive. The hotel has a very nice workout facility with modern treadmills that have personal HDTV monitors built in to the machines. There is also an indoor swimming pool and hot tub. Overall a fine choice for a weekend getaway.

Can't think of a title

Posted 20-Feb-2015
Pros: The gym was great. Breakfast buffet was good too.
Cons: It felt a bit tired, perhaps a bit of updating in colours, counter tops, etc.
Location: I walked down to the point and around back to the inner harbour on a sunny day. Very nice. Thrifty's was close by for food and snacks.
Everything was fine. Nothing wrong with the hotel. I've stayed in newer, more updated hotels in Victoria but I've also stayed in worse. One of the reasons I chose this hotel was because the gym facility looked above average for a hotel and it was. It was better equipped than my local rec centre. The king suite was very large. I was on the 4th floor so there was little to no view but that's ok. The breakfast buffet was very good - hot buffet, not continental. Next time, I may choose a different hotel but would have no hesitation going back to the Harbour Towers. Very friendly staff too.

Tired

Posted 18-Feb-2015
Pros: Location
Cons: Rooms redone. New bedding.
Location: Great location.
Always enjoy this hotel but the rooms are getting tired. Mattress and pillows not so comfy and the nice view we expected from the 9th floor turned out to be a concrete wall. But it was ok and the location is good.

Older hotel, clean and in front of the Harbour. Upper rooms have amazing view. There is a other low rise hotel between you and the Harbour. Staff went out of their way to help. Very clean and well kept. Very satisfied

Location: nice walks along the coast line. great music scene, amazing swing dance community, nice gardens.
Great room to entertain. Lovely view, nice that the windows opened. We had friends over for a social and dinner. Just having a stove top was a bit of disappointment but managed okay. All and all very nice.

Great Value for Cost. Reasonable for short stays.

Posted 10-Feb-2015
Pros: Value for price. Comfortable. Hotel Shuttle to airport available.
Cons: Notification of Airport shuttle. Possibly install a ramp along side hotel lobby stair case( difficulty bringing luggage over stairs).
Location: Downtown Victoria Harbour. Hotel shuttle available to airport.
Overall, good value for money. Clean room. Slept comfortably. I wasn't aware a shuttle was available to the airport. I would have like to be advised upon booking or even told upon checking in to my room. Good to know for next time,.. and would have me return again prior to a flight. Only other item, was trying to get by luggage up the stairs to the elevator with my toddler in hand. Staff saw me struggle and did not offer assistance or alternatives. I understand there was only one person at the desk. I expected to be notified of a ramp or alternative to get to the elevators. Otherwise, a good stay.
