Close to harbour and downtown. Near to bus station. No A/C. One day we had to complained about the clean-up and the bed. An other day we had to advised them at 5h00 to come to make the room. the last night was very noisy with young students. The breakfast were good.

The Harbor Towers Hotel is in a great location in walking distance to everything. Victoria is a wonderful place to visit and I always stay at the Harbor Towers. It is quiet and clean I really have nothing negitive to say about it I would stay here again.

Nice hotel close to Victoria waterfront.

Posted 16-Aug-2014
Pros: Convenient Location. Fair price. Quiet. Nice restaurant. Underground parking (paid).
Cons: Free parking would be nice, but not really expected these days.
Location: Victoria waterfront provides lots of sightseeing options: Art Gallery and Legislature building, shopping.
Booked 2 rooms for overnight Victoria visit with my wife, son, and parents. We enjoyed a pleasant stay here. This hotel is a several minute walk to waterfront, but far enough to be away from any tourist noise. There is a Chilean-style restaurant nearby that was excellent. The hotel's restaurant also serves a good breakfast, with choice of continental or full buffet. It was nice and quiet and we slept well. It was probably the hottest weekend of the year, and there was no air conditioning in the rooms, so the rooms were hot upon check in. The large sliding-door balcony windows could be opened, and the rooms had ceiling fans. Opening the windows and running the fans cooled things down enough to a comfortable temperature. Not a showstopper issue, but be prepared for that if you are visiting mid-summer on a very sunny day.

Fine

Posted 15-Aug-2014
Pros: Staff very accommodating. Good harbor-side locale. Washer and dryer came in handy after a couple of days out on the pacific coast trail.
We took a 2-bedroom suite, with small balcony. Had loads of room and everything was ship-shape, as it should be

Bad choice don't go there I'll never come back

Posted 14-Aug-2014
Pros: Nothing
Cons: Everything
Location: Nice area a lot to do museum fisherman wharf etc...
This hotel is a disaster and the only thing good to say about it is the location. Went to check in at 7 pm and there was a long line...that's fine and understandable, but the woman at the counter could have said "thank you for waiting", "sorry for the wait"...etc. Instead she just took our reservation number and gave us our suite number. We ended up on the third floor when we had requested a higher floor. When we booked this suite on Expedia, we were told we would be on floor 2-8, but we booked so far in advance that it seems like they simply just put us wherever and didn't read the online request. The woman simply refused to move us to another floor and said for the price we paid this is what we get. We then asked for a luggage trolley and were told they are usually in the parkade, because people who bring their cars pay $15/ day to park here. I'm from Victoria and know where to park for free so I'm not going to waste money when I don't have to. I'm 29 weeks pregnant, and am not about to lift 30 lb luggage and you'd think a trolley in the lobby wouldn't be too much to ask for. Our room itself was fine at a glance, but two of the towels had dark brown stains on them, they smelled clean, but should have never been used for guests. if we could have gotten a refund we would have after the check in experience. I stayed at a two star no frills hotel in Nanaimo and had much better service and a cleaner room than this place, there is a lot more to say but Expedia have limited space

Wonderful location

Posted 13-Aug-2014
Pros: The view from the 11th floor
Cons: The cupboards where the dishes were kept were very old and stale smelling - so much so that the dishes smelled as well - maybe purchase carbon discs!
Location: Loved the buskers on the harbour front, the IMAX, Parliament bldgs at night - lights! Walking distance to many things - the beach, a large park, etc.
We had a suite on the 11th floor and could watch the comings and goings on the harbour. The breakfasts were very good and the staff most friendly and accommodating. I am gluten in tolerant and they were very helpful with special bread . Our only negative about the breakfast would be the artificially sweetened yogurts. On the whole we were impressed with our stay.

Many thanks Janice for choosing to stay with us and for your review. The view from the balcony of the rooms from the 8th floor up is indeed wonderful, both Inner Harbour as well as the Olympic Mountains. Chef Setso will be very pleased that his team was able to accommodate your request for gluten-free bread. Hoping to welcome you back again, Sincerely, Kay Koot, general manager

Walking distance to many places!

Posted 12-Aug-2014
Pros: N/A
Cons: Comfort.
Location: Inner harbor, downtown, everything!
When we first arrived at the hotel we were expecting a nice 1 bedroom suite with a ocean view, and we did get a 1 bedroom suite. However, it wasn't that nice, the ocean view we were supposed to get sucked!(But you could see cruise ships docked there) And upon entering the suite there was a strange odor that can't be explained, and the furniture was really old and honestly I'm not so sure how clean the room was, it had the appearance of being clean but it didn't seem clean(I don't know how to explain that). During our stay here I didn't get any sleep, because the sofa bed was so uncomfortable! And the Wi-Fi was slow and breakfast wasn't the best ever, they need more options! Also this place is super expensive, a small cup or milk is like $4.30! We spent a lot of money on our getaway suite and this place wasn't worth it, we could have spent that much money at a different hotel! Plus - the elevators were so old and small! A good thing about this hotel is that its at a walking distance to a lot of things!

Thank you for taking the time to post your review and I am sorry to read about your disappointment. I take this opportunity to clarify that our oceanview rooms include either the Inner Harbour or the Strait of Juan de Fuca with the Olympic Mountains behind, and if you could see the cruise ships then it your view was the southern direction Strait . Cleanliness is absolutely an element within our control and we are proud of it. I hope you might give us another try on a future visit. Sincerely, Kay Koot, general manager
