Nice hotel in downtown Victoria

Posted 30-Jun-2015
Nice hotel just a few blocks from the harbor in Victoria. We had a two room suite - living room was spacious but bathrooms were a little small. Clean and comfortable with a great staff. Parking available for $15. Breakfast was a buffet - good quality and selection. Overall a great experience. Would stay there again.

Pros: Location. One block from the water and the street vendors on the walkway. Two blocks to the Parliament building.
Victoria is a wonderful city to visit. Many things to do in the area.

Close to downtown Victoria

Posted 29-Jun-2015
Pros: Location & good workout facility
Cons: Clean up the entrance. Garbage & recycle bin need to be emptied more often.
Location: Walk through the interesting downtown. Good restaurants also close by. Staff in hotel restaurant were very helpful.
Enjoyed the ability to walk around in downtown Victoria & the closeness to the bus to Butchart Gardens & the block walk to the terminal for the Victoria Clipper to & from Seattle

Pros: See above.
Cons: Nothing
Location: Got right off the Clipper and walked to your hotel. Very convenient. Took the shuttle to Butchart Garden, but walked everywhere else.
Great staff. Great room. Great breakfast. Great location. Great price.

this hotel has NO air conditioning

Posted 28-Jun-2015
Pros: Not much
Cons: add A/C, cleanup the dirt off the balconies and railings etc.
Location: great location near the harbour in Victoria with a myriad of things to do and see,.
The room temperature held steady at 25 to 27 C for the duration of our brief stay there,. Opening the balcony doors (which the staff suggested after telling me that they had no A/C) just introduced a high level of street racket. Even $60 motels in remote towns have A/C folks.

Pros: Closeness to downtown
Cons: The lounge closed quite early in the evening so if you were coming back from a concert it was closed.
Location: Close to many tourist attractions

OK stay

Posted 24-Jun-2015
Pros: The location was convenient. Very close to everything, but away from the crowds. The lobby is nice.
Cons: Functionality of the room. Small things, but there were no hooks in bathroom to hang your cloths or towel. TV was far and the remote did not work well
Location: The location was nice. Between the Parliament and the Fisherman Warf. Close to many attractions, but out of the big crowds.
Nice location. Check in is late at 4pm and they mean it. The room was spacious but the décor was rather plain and unattractive and not very practical. The person at the check in was polite, but cold.

Great hotel close to downtown

Posted 24-Jun-2015
Pros: Location and space of 2 bedroom suite
Cons: Enlarge bathroom and place shower with easy access to everyone staying in suite
Location: Excellent location - close to the Victoria Clipper dock and very convenient for walking to downtown Victoria.
We arrived on the Victoria Clipper and it was an easy walk to the hotel, even with luggage. The two bedroom suite was very good space for 5 people - 3 adults and 2 children. No grocery store nearby so really didn't use the kitchen area. There was 1.5 bathrooms but the full bath was very small and through the master bedroom, making awkward shower access for those not staying in the master bedroom. Prior reviews have given this hotel poor reviews for outdated decorating, but we did not find this true. Our 2 bedroom suite came with "free breakfast buffet". However on check in, we discovered this covered only the adults and children under 12 (already free), leaving out teenagers, who were then expected to pay $14. But overall we found this suite met our needs very well and the hotel location was fantastic.
