“good value”

The location is excellent and close to everything. Room was small, clean and had a nice balcony. Parking is on the street after 5pm, otherwise you have to pay extra for parking at the hotel. Would stay again.

“Dated room but great location”

Big suite. Master room did not have furnace/heat source but a down comforter. Quick walk from the ferry. Buffet breakfast spendy and not so great. Recommend Johnnies by City Hall for breakfast!

“A nice place to stay”

Although this hotel could use some upgrades, I thought it was very nice. It was close to all of the activities that Victoria had to offer, which was convenient. We had dinner in the restuarant and received awesome service and a lovely meal. I must say that the room service breakfast did disappoint though. Very pricey, and the food was cold and not tasty. That was my only complaint. Overall, it was a very nice experience and I would definitely go back.

“okay hotel, convenient to downtown”

The hotel was a little shabby but generally okay. Would not recommend because there are lots of hotles close to downtown so I think we could have done better if I had searched a little more. The staff, however, were exceptional and very accommodating.

“Pleasant, non-pressured stay!”

Parking is simple and the atmosphere in the hotel is "laid back", not frenetic, exuding a comfortable "being at home" quality. Did not get to try the restaurant but will certainly do so next time.

Area recommendations
The area where Harbour Towers is located.
Getting around
Bring walking shoes - it is such a beatiful area you need to go out and experience it - always street artist performing at the harbour - Talloula was hilarious!

“Restaurant Service”

When I went in to Vic's Steakhouse restaurant for breakfast I was served by a young gentleman who had recently come to Canada. I struck up a conversation with him and he was very polite and courteous. He looked after my needs while at breakfast and I really appreciated the fact that he took time to speak to a patron in such a nice friendly manner. He was a very competent and pleasant person who I really enjoyed having served me. We need more people like him who care about their work and patrons.

Area recommendations
I would recommend the area surrounding the inner harbour because there is so much to do and see in this area.
Must see
The inner harbour is an area visitors must go to see and experience. The downtown area is full of lovely and interesting shops, bars, pubs, museums and of course a large variety of restaurants. The Empress Hotel is lovely but there are many other interesting hotels. One place to go is the area where the house boats are moored. There are many interesting areas to walk, especially the harbour walk. The drive along the beaches is stunning. Craigdarrock Castle and the grounds around the Lieutenant Governor's residence are places one must go to see. There are so many interesting sites and places in and around Victoria. It may be the most beautiful city that I have ever visited.

“Impressed”

Location is great, 1 block from clipper ferry terminal. Internal restaurant a little pricey but you are near city center for lower cost fare. Personnel are extremely helpful and polite. Check in/out very efficient.

Area recommendations
Victoria inner harbor area is just the best part of the city.

“Excellent Location”

Great location on the harbour front in downtown Victoria. Walking distance to sites, shops, restaurantsand the Pacific Coach Terminal. Pacific Coach is accessible from the Vancouver Airport. Internet access available with printers. The restaurant was a bit pricey but our harbour view penthouse was great. Staff willingly upgraded our room at a discounted price after we were disappointed with the building view we got from our room that we purchased on expedia.

Getting there
You can use the Pacific Coach from Vancouver Airport and it will take you to the Pacific terminal in downtown Victoria. Another option is taking the Vancouver transit bus from the sky train station in Richmond to theTwassen Ferry station, crossing on the ferry and then another regular transit bus to Victoria.
Getting around
Victoria transit is very user friendly. Regular transit bus will take you to Butchart Gardens and the ferry station to get back to Vancouver. Victoria is great for doing lots of walking.
Must see
Butchart Gardens, and while you are there, make a reservation for afternoon tea. Better and cheaper than the Empress.
Dining
Blue Crab for a nice evening . A bit upscale but the Seafood is terrific.
