Great situation

Posted 24-Mar-2015
Pros: Location. Quiet.
I have stayed in Victoria on a number of occasions over the last two years in various hotels and have found Days Inn to be the best value for comfort and facilities. It is so well located for Downtown shopping and visitor attractions: in easy walking distance with the advantage of being quiet in the evenings. Room was very comfortable.

Good value for the price

Posted 23-Mar-2015
Pros: Location, staff, price
We stayed at the Days Inn while we went to a concert at the Save On More Arena. We were pleasantly surprised as the price was very affordable, the location was superb and it even included a continental breakfast. We would highly recommend your hotel and would stay again.

Pros: Bed, friendliness, food
Cons: cleaning
Location: Bug zoo, parliament buildings, i-max, museum, water taxi, just walking around down town was awesome.
It was an enjoyable stay, it was the dust on the walls behind things that bothered me. If I had allergy's that would have really bothered me. It was also the fact that they raved about the cleanliness in the hotel on the sheets the had in the room talking about the start of the hotel. I found it did not stand up to the founders standers. Beds were very comfy.

Never again

Posted 16-Mar-2015
Pros: Restaurant staff was VERY friendly. Food was excellent!
Cons: hotel staff, needs a little friendliness class upgrade
Location: lovely walks along the waterfront. Went to a concert at a local theatre. Plenty of excellent shopping.
upon arrival parking lot was so tight you could barely get passengers out of the car. Booked room with kitchen and double beds. no kitchen was available. asked for accessible room as we had disabled person with us. Room had stairs to get into bathroom. Finally after a very long day and getting my daughter organized and in bed I finally crawled into mine only to find Silver fish in it...GROSS. On check out I told the girl at the desk and she just stared at me, took my keys and said YOU ARE NOW CHECKED OUT . good bye. Very friendly restaurant staff though, despite the fact they were robbed while we were eating our dinner. All in all I ruined a nice weekend away by booking here. Never again. This Hotel is set in one of the most beautiful places by the Victoria Harbour. The staff should kick it up a notch.. and maybe put down the cigarettes, it wafts up to the open windows above.

Pros: Staff and the location.
Cons: Updating the building would be nice, find a way that the kitchen smell wouldn't go into the room.
Location: Right in the inner harbor of Victoria, less than a block from the BC legislature and Royal BC museum. Walking distance to downtown.
The hotel it self was older, but the staff was amazing and very helpful. There were some changes that had to be made with our room and the staff helped with that. The only issue I really had was with the smell that was first in our room from the restaurant below our room. After having the windows open for a while it cleared up. Great location, easy to walk everywhere.

Harbour View Room

Posted 13-Mar-2015
Pros: The location, the view, the bed and selection of pillows, the kitchenette
Cons: Ensure that all staff listen and understand the questions of guests and that they don't assume that someone checked out.
Location: The legislature building is close, the waterfront, downtown Victoria, the Bay Centre is within walking distance, there are several tours nearby.
This is a nice hotel on the harbour. My room overlooked the harbour, which was a great view. The staff were good, except that they had no idea who I was when I came down to ask a question -- he just didn't listen when I said the room number several times, and then thought I'd already checked out. But no big deal. There is a step up to the bathroom, which is odd, but there's nothing they can do about it -- there are ample warnings about it. So just be careful if you have a room with that step. The kitchen was a nice touch, and the staff were great at providing me with plastic cutlery since I didn't have any. I think there are dishes that can be used for a fee, as well. The room appeared to have been recently renovated, featuring laminate flooring, but the furniture was still a bit old. But no problem with that for me, just stood out in a new room. The tv worked great, but there is no guide to see what you're watching. I didn't use the pool since it was off season, and didn't use the hot tub, so I can't comment on those. The breakfast is a discount in the restaurant or a specific set of items (yoghurt or cereal or something like that, can't remember). Other than being a bit slow, the restaurant was fine. There is also a bar on site, but I didn't go to it. I should mention as well that there are two entrances -- one off the harbour side and one in the back. The one in the back is the "main" entrance and the one in the front is not well marked, but either work.
