"Great hotel, excellent location."
Choose the hotel due to its location to waterfront area, fully met our expectations. Gave us easy access to Red Bus Tour facility, canal trip, taxis into town etc. With so many restaurant's to chose from on the waterfront we didn't have time to use the hotels own restaurant, which is a shame really as the menu choices were good. The hotel is easily accessible to the large shopping mall, which we used. The hotels pool is sufficient for size of hotel and many of the guests didn't find time to use the facility due to all of the tourist facilities available within the Cape Town area. Would certainly us this hotel again and recommend to anyone visiting Cape Town.

"Spectacular!"
Great hotel! Unbeatable location but hard to find if you are self-driven since it does not show up in most GPS receivers. However, once you get there you will be pleased. Modern boutique hotel, superb restaurant, friendly and attentive staff, great rooms, walking distance from the heart of the V&A Waterfront attractions, and 30 minutes from Cape Town's International Airport. Will definitely come back!

"Waterfront Hotel"
We really enjoyed our stay at the Victoria and Alfred. The shower in the room was fantastic! The hotel was quiet even with the jumping waterfront outside. The breakfast selection and wuality were very good value for the price. We had an issue with our breakfast where the chef personally came out and apologized. They went over and above trying to correct the mistake. We very much appreciated their efforts. The wifi was touch and go in our room but was decent in the lobby area. One of our better stays in Cape Town with lots of restaurants, shopping and activities in walking distance to choose from.

The hotel was minutes from the V&A Waterfront. The staff was professional and courteous. The staff at the guest relations desk were especially helpful.

"Convenient Location, reasonable price"
Hotel is located in a convenient and safe spot. Staff were friendly and very helpful. The customer service at the concierge desk was very instrumental in giving recommendation and booking reservations for restaurants and attractions. If you drive, we highly recommend using the hotel's parking for a daily fee as there are no nearby free parking. The breakfast buffet was included in the room rate, and it had great selections. Although we brought along a universal adaptor to charge our laptop and iPad, our adaptor could not fit into the South African outlet, we ended up asking the front desk for a loaner adaptor. The only limitation was that they did not have enough loaner available. If you have half-day between the check out time and your departure flight, we highly recommend that you put your luggage at the Bell desk, do whatever you like in town, return to the hotel and use their Spa service and take a relaxing shower prior to heading for the airport, the expense at the Spa is much less expensive than paying additional fee for late check out. All in all, it is a great hotel. We will definitely return when we visit Cape Town again.

"Comfortable hotel close to the V&A Waterfront"
We stayed for 4 nights in this very clean, comfortable and convenient hotel. A delicious full or continental breakfast, as well as lunch and dinner are available at the onsite Stonebreakers. Hotel staff are extremely helpful with information about Cape Town and for booking tours etc. The hotel which has a history as a gaol and houses the School of Business, is less than 2 minutes walk to the popular V&A waterfront and only 30 mins walk to the centre of Cape Town. The hop-on, hop-off red bus leaves from the waterfront ensuring easy access to most tourist locations.

"FANTASTIC"
This is not the most luxurious hotel you will find, but it is arguably the most luxurious in Cape Town. What it lacks in chic, it makes up for in grace. The hotel staff could not be more helpful, friendly, and sincere while completely discrete. Always ready to help without being intrusive. Service is genuinely excellent. I will definitely return. Cape Town is very relaxed, the hotel reflects this, but this makes it really relaxing. There's a really excellent High Tea, which is very popular and the sashimi at Nobu is a culinary art for the tastebuds.

"Very comfortable apartment in excellent location"
We felt very comfortable in this lovely apartment and were glad to be able to walk to and from the shopping and restaurants in the V&A district both in the day and in the evening. The only drawbacks were the slow or absent wifi in the bedrooms, the fan that would not turn off in one of the ensuite bathrooms, and the difficulty getting the heating going given that it was rather chilly in the night-time. The concierge/security staff were super helpful, providing suggestions for tour companies (African Eagle - excellent!) and organizing taxis and some assistance where needed - even though they are not front desk staff as in a hotel.
