"Great family run establishment close to the beach"
Great service is provided by the family that runs this establishment. They helped us with all our needs from the time we arrived to accommodating a late departure so we could enjoy one more day at the beach. The property is one block away from the beach front and promenade with all the retail shops and restaurants.
The property is clean. Nicely remolded bathrooms. The breakfast was very good and included scrambled eggs and fresh fruit every morning (not something you find in many European hotels). Dinner reservations, recommendations for local events, help with parking and wine selections were all a part of the services personally arranged by the hotel staff/ owners.
It was a great place to stay one block off the beach in Viareggio.

Stayed here for 6 nights in October. The weather was fantastic so the pool and gardens were still open which was great after a day of sightseeing.
The resort is an excellent base for sightseeing as the train station is close by and the bus to Pisa stops right outside.
The staff were fantastic, especially Giuseppe in the American Bar who provided excellent service and made great cocktails.
Overall a wonderful stay.
Me and my friends stayed at Hotel Liberty for a weeks holiday in August and loved every minute! We loved Viareggio and everyone we met there was really friendly.
We were a bit duboius about the hotel as we had read mixed reviews especially ones about how run down it was. However once we arrived we loved it straight away, the hotel lobby isnt run down at all and when we got to our room it was the same. Absolutely spotless and we had a sea view! - We had booked the family room and were situated at the front of the hotel so i dont know if the back is different but our room was lovely.
The hotel staff were also really nice - we often came back from a night out at 2am if not later and there was always someone there to let us in. Plus the breakfast was really good, we had seen a few reviews slating it but we found there was everything we needed, hot food, cold meat and cheese, toast, fruit, yogurt, cereal, and sweet pastries.
All in all we had a lovely stay, loved the hotel and the location.

"One of the best Italian hotels I have ever been!"
This hotel was excellent! It was just one street away from the beach, and situated directly on the boardwalk of Viareggio. At first we got a room without balcony, but when I went to the reception, they immediately solved my problem and gave me a room with French style balcony. I would suggest to all travellers, if you want to have a room with balcony, reserve the room in time, because there are only a very few rooms with balcony.

Lovely staff who were very friendly and incredibly helpful. Viareggio has a lovely beach but is marked out with sun loungers etc for private use by lots of the bigger hotels. Great restaurants nearer the centre of town but you can park there free with the 20 Euro parking ticket that you buy from the hotel. Great base for Lucca and Pisa by train.
