"Very Convenient Location"
This is a charming hotel, just a short distance from the train station. The staff is friendly and very helpful. The breakfast room is delightful and the selection of food is varied and excellent. I would stay here again and recommend it to friends.

Great. Helpful reception staff, thoughtful, presented us with a small token for our honeymoon stay. Spacious room. Only drawback is negotiating the parking lot is difficult, and bed is on different level from washroom (but this wasn't a problem for us). Very central location

"Impressive centre town hotel"
Our first visit to Florence, so we wanted a hotel from which we could walk most places. We arrived at noon by train and ten minutes walking we were at the hotel where we were very warmly greeted. The wonderful people on the desk offered to change our room to the first floor to save these seniors from dragging bags and selves up more stairs than necessary. Wonderful! They then most cheerfully showed us on maps the locales of the best of Florence and made suggestions of things we could do. Our room not being ready, we left luggage and set out to explore. On our return we retrieved luggage and found our room. Other reviewers were unhappy with rooms at the front, but our corner room overlooked two busy streets and we were very happy with that, and when windows were closed little street noise came in. Our room was spotless, very comfortable, and nicely decorated. The included breakfast was continental and quie adequate.

"NOT FOR EVERYONE"
Not for seniors or persons with leg, knee or back problems. Exit from the tiny lift is hazardous. No smoke alarms, entrance and exit is controlled by a very dated metal key system. The plus side is the owner / manager is a very likeable fellow who tries to please, the rooms are clean even though there is a 14" TV that only receives Italian channels. Even getting into this facility can be challenging with 18" sidewalks and cars parked up against the front door of ARCO ANTIO. For students looking to explore Florence on a budget - go for it, it will submerge you into the true culture of Florence.

"Good location. Functional hotel"
We arrived late afternoon and the young lady on the desk was very welcoming with very good English (bonus as our Italian is practically non existent). There are four hotels in the building one on each floor and all use the one reception on the ground floor. Anna's is on the 2nd floor no lift so if you have mobility problems this is probably not for you. Our room was a good size, clean and functional. Lets face it if you are doing Florence in three days you are not going to be spending much time in the room. The bathroom had a decent shower in a good sized cubicle, wc, bidet and sink. Hot water was in good supply and there was a heated towel rail. We used the breakfast room which is located in one of the other hotels on the same floor. This room needs a serious update its clean and that is the best I can say about it. Breakfast was typical continental, coffee and juice from dispensing machines, cheese, ham, good choice of bread rolls, cake & croissants, fruit and yoghurt. Nice breakfast shame about the surroundings. Two of our three days we ate in there alone not even any staff and in our third day it was packed how they manage in high season I can't imagine as there are only 4/5 tables. Good wifi. Would recommend a stay if you are looking for budget accommodation.

"Great B&B close to the train station, major sights"
My husband and I booked this B&B as part of our honeymoon trip through Italy. We traveled with only backpacks, which made it really easy to walk the few blocks from the train station to the B&B. The employee who checked us in was very courteous, helpful, and prompt. He showed us on our complimentary map how to get to the major sights, nearby restaurants, ATMs, and post office. Our room was spacious, comfortable, and quiet on the first floor. We had a very good Wi-Fi connection, air conditioning, and a clean private bathroom. We opted not to pay the surcharge for breakfast or use of the kitchenette since there were numerous cafes in every direction. Something we found very useful in our room was the heated clothes-drying rack in the bathroom since we washed some of our clothes in the bathroom sink.

A perfectly reasonable tourist hotel within easy walking distance of both the main train station and the historic central areas. Our room was fairly small and nothing exceptional, but the free wi-fi worked, breakfast was fine, and we spent most of our time wandering around the city rather than needing anything more from our sleeping space. The staff was very helpful, and there is a luggage storage area available if you want to wander around for additional time after you have checked out of the hotel on your last day.

"Quiet, close to major sites and train station."
We had only 1 night but were happy with the location as we were able to see the sites that were important to us on a short visit. The decor was pleasant, the room quiet and clean. And one of the better breakfasts we found.
