“Very tired hotel that needs complete refurbishment”

This hotel was probably great 30 years ago but needs a complete overhaul. Verona lacks top hotels despite being the 4th most visited city in Italy, with many high-spending tourists. One woud think that Four Seasons or someone like that would buy Due Torri and convert it into a true 5-star hotel. Right now, it does not even make 3 stars in my opinion.

“Very nice, good quality hotel”

This is a very nice, good quality hotel, located just at the edge of the old walled city. Very convenient for walking yet sufficiently distant from the action to provide a quiet respite. The public space of the hotel is exceptional, lovely vaulted, frescoed ceiling and gracious seating areas. Service is friendly and efficient. Only slight negative was the food in the restaurant in the evening. The dishes, intended to be "creative" were disappointing, while the price was on the high side. Overall however, we were very satisfied with this hotel and would recommend it to others during their stay in Verona.

“Verona 5*”

Lovley 5* hotel in 1st class location for all the sites. Old world charm -this hotel may not suit those looking for a " boutique" hotel - But its large public rooms cenral location and excelent servive will suit many world weary travellers. Great breakfast buffet - and near to some great small bars and resturants visitors Must Do the opera!

“Verona 1 day visit”

This is a nice European hotel. The room itself is small, but the bathroom is nice. Although advertised as having a balcony, there are no balconies at this hotel. There is a very nice courtyard on the ground floor. The lobby is very nice and the location is great. Cannot think of a reason to stay in Verona for long there is not much to do there and Juliet's house is overrun with tourists.

Area recommendations

Skip Juliet's House, it is a very small area over crowded with people and a real disappointment when you get there. Dante's square is nice, the free castle is nice and the shopping area is full of Gucci, Armani and D & G. The flea market in the center square has lot's of cheap "gifts". There area is not a geared toward tourism as much as other towns. Very little English spoken in most of the shops.

Dining

The restaurant directly across the street from Due Torri has excellent food and the owner takes great pride is his gourmet spin on italiaton classics.

“Visit Verona is nice, visiting Verona and staying at the Due Torri is fantastic!”

Romantic and very nice Hotel. it is situated in the old town of Verona and close to the Arena as well. Restaurants are plenty and to see even more. If we go to Verona again, we will try to get a room there.

“Verona& Shakespeare”

Service lief z.T. auf englisch,Hotel war allg.sauber, leider war die Minibar aber nict so sauber wie man es bei 5* erwarten würde. Auch ein Balkon bzw.größeres Zimmer ( bei Rauchern) wäre angebracht. Das Hotel liegt sehr zenzral u. vor allem ruhig. Auch die Umgebung ist in jedem Reiseführer zu finden. Viele kleine Gesten und Aufmerksamkeiten machten das Hotel sehr liebenswert.
