“Poor air conditioning”
The air conditioner was very poor. Even after we called, the maintenance guys worked on it and it was better but not great. We asked for a king size bed. Someone came and pushed the two twin box springs together and remade the bed as one. The location was not as bad as some of the other reviewers thought. It was only a 20 minute walk to the Arena.
“Good location”
Business type hotel in a good location near the railway station (make sure you cross the main road at the traffic lights when arriving from the station). The buffet breakfast was excellent! The centre of town is a bit of a walk from the hotel, but not too far.
“Good for attending Opera”
ENJOYED OUR EXPERIENCE, ROOMS VARY SO MAKE SURE YOU GET ONE TO YOUR LIKING.THE STAFF ARE MOST ACCOMODATING. BREAKFAST GOOD
“Comfortable Room & Impressive Breakfasts”
We chose this hotel because of it's vicinity to the train & bus stations since we knew we would be arriving from the airport by bus. Our original intention was to visit various other towns in the Veneto but we found that Verona offered so much to see that we only took one trip away, to Venice. On all other days we walked to various venues in Verona. The hotel is within close walking distance of the train & bus stations but there are extremely busy circulatory roads to cross. Crossings are clear but it takes time to cross all the roads so allow 15mns or so to get from hotel to station. It is something of a walk to get to the main attractions of Verona but not too far. We found the desk staff somewhat cool &, on arrival we were rather surprised to be asked to leave a deposit in the event of our using additional facilities such as the minibar or pay TV (which was the only TV available). However, since we didn't use them we received our deposit back at the end of our holiday. It would have been helpful to have known in advance about the required deposit. Also unfortunately, on four occasions we had a problem with our 2 electronic room entry cards, neither of which would let us into our room. The first time was on arrival & the same happened at the end of 3 other days. Despite these small complaints our stay was most enjoyable & the impressive breakfasts in the very attractive large room can be thoroughly recommended.
“Just fine in Verona”
A clean and comfortable hotel close to the railway station. Easy enough to walk from the station to the hotel, and from the hotel to the center of the old town. Not quite as nice as staying closer to town, but very good value for 10-15 minutes of walking. The mattresses were a little hard, but other than that no complaints. Continental breakfast was great and the staff were pleasant and helpful. Would stay here again if in Verona.
“Comfortable hotel close to Verona Station”
The hotel was of the standard we expected from the Boscolo brand ( having stayed with them in Venice) Staff were always friendly and helpful - particularly Ridvan - who checked us in and assisted with booking our visit to the Scrovegni Chapel in Padua. The bar service and food and the dining room were both excellent value with delicious food The breakfast buffet.has a wide selection. It is convenient for the train and bus station which suited us as we made several trips in the Veneto There is also a paid shuttle service to the Arena when the opera is on.
“larry”
The hotel is clean and in very good condition , rooms are big …. The hotel is 40 minutes walking distance from down town and attraction area, parking is 15 euro per day but you can’t go in and out if you do so it is 3 euro per hour,
“Quite satisfied”
Positive side: Beautiful hotel, very nice room, large bathroom. The restaurant was beautiful. - we had one of our meals there. The reception service was friendly and helpful. Negative aspects: 1- The floor of the bathroom had not been cleaned after the last client left and had spots of, hopefully water. The shower box had some mold between the floor and the walls. 2- The breakfast was good but they ran out of the scrambled eggs and did not replaced for a time long enough to convince us to give up.
“Would not stay here again”
The hotel was lovely and all you'd expect from a 4 star hotel. The location could have been better and closer to the city centre but it wasn't too far of a walk. The hotel would be an excellent option for those travelling with a car. The reception staff however were very rude and check in and check out was an extreme chore with staff talking on their mobiles and with each other rather than assist. We arrived from Australia at 1pm and were told that check in was not until 3pm. We were told that no excpetions would be made even though we had arrived from Australia on a very long flight. We would not stay here again. I'm sure I could find a similar priced hotelcloser to the city with staff who valued their international guests.
“A Great Experience.”
My wife and I found the hotel extremely comfortable, the staff were very, very good and nothing was too much trouble for them. We stayed on a bed and breakfast basis and we thought the food provided for breakfast was extemely good. Our room was very comfortable and was kept very clean and tidy by the cleaning staff. Overall our stay was very enjoyable and we would not hesitate to stay there again. For people who cannot walk too well this hotel is about 1km from the city centre.
