Beautiful hotel in fabulous location

Posted 15-Jul-2014
We loved the hotel. The room was spacious, comfortable and very clean. The service we received was excellent and the breakfast was fantastic too. Would highly recommend getting a water taxi direct to the door like we did, as the hotel could have been tricky to find!

Amazing hotel on the canal

Posted 15-Jul-2014
Pros: Accommodations,friendliness and great service.
Cons: Don't change
Location: Great bars, restaurants and shops.
The staff was amazing. The name of the lady at the front desk escapes me, but she was fantastic. I have been to Venice IT many times, but I would not stay in another hotel other than the Barbarigo.. Great place!!!!!!!

Great place 18 room palace on the canal

Posted 14-Jul-2014
We will be back, very friendly and great 'designer' interior. The look and feel you need to relax over a coffee after a hard days walk the place offers a good healthy breakfast and within a short walking distance from the much loved Rialto bridge.

Starcke meets Art Deco

Posted 13-Jul-2014
Pros: Style, service and friendly staff.
Cons: Nothing
Location: About 5 min from Rialto on foot you really could not be more centrally located. Venice at your doorstep.
Picked this centrally located hotel because of interior style. Although a little tricky to find on foot a fantastic find that oozes cool style. If you get the chance have a bottle of Prosecco on the little balcony and watch the world go by. Super breakfast and pastries.

Fantastic hotel, great staff

Posted 27-Jun-2014
Pros: The staff were really nice and helpful. Rooms are clean and pleasant and decor great. Everything you need.
Cons: Can't think of anything!
Location: The hotel is at a good location, easy walking to lots of sights like the Rialto Bridge and various water bus stops.
This was a really nice hotel. The staff were extremely helpful and pleasant. The hotel room was just right with a view of the canal. Great decor. Clean and tidy. Breakfast was great. The hotel is at a good location, easy walking to lots of sights like the Rialto Bridge and various water bus stops. Water taxis to/from the airport can stop direct at the hotel's mooring.

Great location, great room, great breakfast!

Posted 16-Jun-2014
Took my wife to Venice for a long weekend and stayed at the barbarigo for 2 nights. The hotel is absolutely amazing. From the decor to the staff, to the breakfast and location. We stayed in a junior suite on the first floor with views out over the gran canal. Shower was great, rooms were very clean and luxurious! Continental breakfast was included in our room price and you can add eggs anyway for about €5 and add coffee anyway you like. We really loved this hotel and we will be coming back here again. Venice itself if a fantastic place and well worth going. We booked a private water taxi to and from the airport for €110 each way which is expensive but saves you getting a water bus and then walking to try and find your hotel, through tiny alley ways and little bridges. The water taxi goes door to door and is a real must. See you soon Venice!

Lovely Hotel, great location

Posted 09-Jun-2014
Pros: The décor throughout the hotel is lovely, and the view from the balcony in the bar.
Cons: The lighting in the bathroom, although there is an additional light over the mirror/sink, because it is tiled in black the overall feel is too dark.
Location: Only a 10 minute walk from the Rialto Bridge. Short trip on a water-bus to St.Mark's Square which is the best way to travel along the Grand Canal.
We had a great stay at this Hotel, in a great location. The staff, rooms, breakfast and bar were all excellent. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

Great hotel on the Grand Canal.

Posted 30-May-2014
Pros: Layout, decor, breakfast, clean and comfy room , lovely bathroom
Cons: Lighting could be a bit brighter in the bedrooms
Location: Location perfect for seeing everything you could want to see in Venice. Lovely restaurants close by
Very enjoyable stay in lovely boutique hotel on the Grand Canal. The canal is the only way to get there as it is not signposted from the land side although easy enough to find your way back once you have done it once . Staff very obliging, room clean and comfy. We had a very enjoyable stay

It is on the Grand Canal

Posted 17-May-2014
Pros: Location is in central Venice. Easy walk to most places.
Cons: Street entrance needs to be marked. First arrivals may have great difficulty finding it.
Location: Centrally located and on Grand Canal.
We arrived by water taxi to the hotel which is on the Grand Canal. I'm not sure if we would have found the street entrance. To enter the hotel via the street entrance you so down several very small twisting alleys and the sign for the hotel is at the door which makes it almost impossible to find. The hotel is art deco styling, very new, very nice. If you are looking for traditional Venice or "Old World" this is not it. Staff was very friendly, pleasant, and helpful. No problems encountered and was a very pleasant stay. Fairly centrally located so many places were a short walk. Not far from St. Toma stop on Grand Canal.
