lovely, central and friendly

Posted 24-Jul-2015
hotel owner and reception staff very friendly and helpful from the start. Their recommendations for the best views and restaurants right on the money. You can wander all day knowing this hotel is within 5 mins from a Vaporetto stop-Toma so quick to jump back for a siesta and freshen up before going out to dinner. Lovely breakfast with your table covered in luscious fruit and pastries which we never ventured past but you can order other dishes if you wish. would definitely go back as our central Venezia pad!

Gorgeous luxury hotel!

What a warm welcome we had. Great location, impeccable service, beautiful balcony over looking the Grand Canal - this must be one of the finest boutique hotels in Venice. A hidden gem which we selfishly hope stays that way so we can book in again soon!

View of the Grande Canal

Posted 07-Jul-2015
Pros: The balcony by the hotel bar had a perfect view. The Bartender & office staff were very nice and attentive.
Location: Centrally located in Venice, and on the Grande Canal. Great view from Lounge Balcony.
The hotel was gorgeous. The hotel staff was super friendly. The shower was the biggest we had during out 3 weeks in Italy. The curtains kept the sun out, the bed was comfy. We did have to take a water taxi from the train station, it is true, trying to find the back door is a struggle without becoming familiar with the area. I had hoped for a better view of the canal from the hotel room, we booked a room for 2 and the view was barely a peak out a window. I suppose the larger rooms had better views. We made up for it by going to the Lounge Balcony & claiming that as our "view". It worked and I was able to have my water view during cocktails.

Modern and elegant boutique hotel!

Glad we booked Palazzo Barbarigo for our short stay in Venice. Lovely location, within walking distance from all the sights yet not extremely busy! Excellent breakfast! Only downside was the slighlty weak wifi signal in the room!

Beautiful setting, wonderful staff

Posted 08-Jun-2015
Pros: Greeting and style
Cons: Room was a little dark during the day. Fairly expensive but that's Venice.
Location: To get to the other side of the Grand Canal you have the horror of crossing the extremely busy Rialto bridge. Much nicer exploring lesser known areas
A beautifully refurbished property in dramatic blacks and reds. The canal view rooms have a day bed to sit and watch life on the grand canal. We were concerned it may be noisy but it wasn't at all and with heavy drapes and shutters that really shut out the light it made for a great sleep to the point we didn't make it to breakfast on any of the 3 mornings. A wonderful greeting on arrival and were given lots of information about where to visit and restaurants etc
