Sehr gut gelegenes, liebevoll geführtes Hotel.

Posted 17-Apr-2015

Beware the annex

Posted 14-Apr-2015
Pros: The best thing about the hotel is the central location.
Cons: The annex.
Location: 2 minutes from St Marks square and the main shops.
The main hotel was fine - the decor, cleanliness and breakfast was good for the 3 star rating. The good reviews we read before we went, on reviewing once there, were all regarding the main hotel. However, we booked a room in the annex, which we assumed (as the label suggests) is linked to the main hotel. It is not. We were taken out of the main hotel door, down the street, down a dark alley, to an unmarked and unmanned residential door. We were given a key to this door and then shown to the second floor 'apartment' area, with another key, which had 6 Hotel Torino rooms. Our room was clean - but the decor and furniture was bizare and very old fashioned, not like the main hotel at all. But being 2 girls on our own our main concern was the fact we had to enter a dark alley to get to the room, and the annex was completely unmanned - it was reliant on other guests maintaining security and on 3 occasions we returned to find the main door had been left wide open. On our second night we asked to move, explaining our concern that we did not feel safe - only to be told it was perfectly safe, and coincidentally another family had entered the hotel, and booked the last main hotel room which 3 minutes earlier we had seen on expedia was free and we asked to move to (the price was cheaper than we had paid). I do not recommend the annex to anyone.

Schönes Hotel nah am Markusplatz

Posted 04-Apr-2015

Posted 31-Mar-2015
Pros: freundliches Servicepersonal, zentrale Lage

Hotel carino

Posted 31-Mar-2015

A wee gem

Posted 23-Mar-2015
Pros: The comfort, decor and high standards throughout the hotel made for a very pleasant stay. But most of all the staff were fantastic.
Cons: If anything, we couldn't find any English speaking channels on the television which would have been handy as we go to bed early.
Location: Location was ideal, just a few minutes walk to San Marco but lots to see on the way. Right next door to a lovely restaurant, gondola stop and shops.
A beautifully decorated, comfortable and well equipped room on the top floor. Good facilities for what we needed. Most of all it was very quiet and peaceful, despite it's busy location on a bustling corner. Hotel staff very helpful and friendly. Breakfast was continental although one morning seemed to be a bit poorly organised. No clean tables available despite being an empty room. Other than that, we really couldn't fault the place. Ideal location for us, easy to find and very reasonably priced indeed. Just sorry we didn't squeeze in a visit to their garden, no idea where that was hidden.

Excellent Hotel in the Heart of Venice

Posted 13-Mar-2015
Pros: All you can eat breakfast, location and staff
Cons: A little bit of noise around breakfast time as we were next door the breakfast room.
Location: Very close to St Marks square. Just around the corner from the designer shops and very easy to find.
A lovely, clean hotel with very helpful staff and an excellent breakfast.
