“lovely hotel - great location”
The hotel could not be in a better location. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Great breakfast. Excellent value.
“Great hotel and excellent service!!!”
The hotel is great, lovely views and extremely convenient location just opposite one of the main piers. The personnel are extremely helpful and always smiling, that's the best!!! I strongly recommend this hotel to everyone wishing to have a great time in Venice.
“excellent location”
ideal for visiting venice on foot. access from the airport is very covinient, boats stop in front of the hotel. Transport from the airport is best by public boat. Water taxi is very expensive.
“Lovely hotel in an ideal position”
Hotel was idealy located on the waterside 100m from St Marks Square with the waterbus stop right outside. Room with en-suite was small but clean. Some minor decorative works need to be carried out inside the hotel. Hotel staff vey friendly and helpful. Restaurent expensive but the food and setting is good. Some restaurent staff very rude and unhelpful. Would go back.
“Savoia satisfaction”
Excellent Hotel for location on the waterfront next to St Marks Square. The best way to arrive in Venice is on the waterbus from the airport - you get a great panoramic view as you approach the city through the islands , Lido and lagoon and then the boat drops you a few yards from the hotel! The lagoon view rooms are wonderfully decorated, and with amazing views over the waterfront and across to the nearby churches and waterways. You are straight into the heart of Venice with a calm base to relax and watch the tourists groups shuffle off to St Marks. Excellent breakfast on the hotel terrace and a fine evening restaurant. The whole city is easily accessible with the waterbus network and we recommend sitting in the open seats at the back for the Grand Canal No 1 trip. You can hop on or off as you wish with a prepaid pass and explore the quieter areas outside St Marks and the Rialto area at leisure by foot. I was impressed by the general condition of the historic buildings even in the backwaters, and the canals seem clean - we saw shoals of small fish.
“Great place to stay for our Silver Wedding holiday right at the centre of where you need to be”
The hotel is clean, cool and comfortable and the staff are very helpful and friendly. It is located a short walk from the main area to visit and very close to the water busses both arround the islands and to and from the airport.
“Try the Hotel Savoia & Jolanda - you will never be disappointed !!!”
This is a superb hotel. From the minute we walked through the door, the staff were all amazing. They are friendly, efficient, very helpful and are all multi-lingual. We were treated as though we were vip guests. The hotel is very beautiful and magnificently furnished. The room was wonderful and very comfortable with a magnificent view of the water front and the Grand Canal. We watched all the Luxury Cruise Liners sailing in and out of Venice from our balcony. The breakfasts, included in the rate, were excellent and offered a large selection with excellent service. The restaurant was also offered a very good menu with excellent service and hotel guests are entitled to a 20% discount. We are very satisfied with everything to do with this hotel are are happy to know that we have found our place in Venice for any future visits and we most certainly recommend the Savoia & Jolanda to anyone visiting Venice. At this hotel you will be 2 minutes walk to St Mark's Square and anything else you might want to see. Gondolas and taxis are at the door - no walking for ages dragging luggage up and down bridge steps. Ten out of ten.
“Better than expected!”
What a pleasant surprise to have a Hotel exceed your expectations! The location was absolutely fantastic for exploring Venice! You could wander for hours on foot then have a short waterbus ride back to the hotel. It's close to St. Marks and many other "must sees" as well as shopping and restaurants. The breakfast was also very nice. Good selection of fresh fruit, pastries, cereals and hot eggs and meat. Wonderful coffee and tea choices all served by a most pleasant staff. The front desk staff was also very helpful with recommendations of outings and restaurants. Overall the hotel was great - the only complaint was the bed pillows which were new but flat and hard. (But honestly, when are the pillows as nice as you'd like?) We highly recommend this hotel and will definitely stay here in the future!
“Savoia Bargain”
I booked a standard room thorough Expedia. When I arrived I asked for a good room and was ugraded free of charge to a Junior Suite overlooking the water which I was able to retain for the whole stay of 4 days. The room itself was superb. The staff could not have been more helpful or courteous. The hotel is one of the best positioned for St Mark's Square being right next to the Danielli. I have stayed at the Danielli, which is fabulous, but this year I had a very similar room at the Savoia at 1/3 of the price with breakfast included.
“Great Weekend”
A great weekend, found the hotel staff friendly and helpful, the exactly what you would want for a romantic weekend in Venice, we were impressed !

The Piazza San Marco, famous for its pigeons, campanile, basilica, Palazzo Ducale (Doges Palace) and expensive cafes, is unmissable. The waterfront views are legendary and more gondolas depart from here than anywhere else in the city. In season the Piazza teems with day trippers though just a block or two away streets are quiet and offer more museums and palaces to explore.
