Set on three floors linked by broad stone staircases, the Hotel San Cassiano Ca'Favretto, Venice, has 35 air-conditioned guestrooms are decorated in 18th-century Venetian style with rich gold-and-red colour schemes, gold-leaf sconces and headboards, and antique furnishings. Walls are marmorino, a traditional Italian plaster formula comprised of lime and fine marble dust. Mosaic stone floors have Persian-style rugs. Some rooms have exposed wooden beams.
