“Great location in Venice”

This hotel is full of charm and character. Away from the crowds but in an area full of atmosphere. Friendly staff. Breakfast basic but adequate. Free trip included to Burano really was free...and in a water taxi! Rooms kept clean - change of towels daily. When I return to venice, I will stay here again.

“Ideal location to explore all of Venice..”

Quaint hotel tucked into a side canal off the Venice's Grande Canal. Staff were friendly and courteous, and took time to chat. Breakfast was simple (continental style - without fruit) but more than adequate. We stayed in room 305 - it was great - but watch your head as you climb out of the bath (angled ceiling above you) and be careful using the w/c at night without lights - the old original timber beam in the bathroom is very functional and hard ! All in all - would definately recommend this hotel if you plan to explore

“Excellent hotel”

Our room was great - comfortable and spacious. It was on the second floor with no elevator, so that may be an issue for some travelers.

“Full of character”

We stayed here for four days in October and the hotel was superb. Great service from friendly smiling staff, who serve breakfast until late, which is great if you like your lie-ins! The hotel itself is full of character, the rooms spacious, and the location, in the Dorsuduro district, is perfect, with plenty of local bars, cafes and restaurants, and only a short waterbus ride or walk into the rest of Venice. I would heartily recommend the Hotel Pausania.

“Lovely out of the hussle hotel”

Its a lovely location, approx 15 mins walk from st marks square. The hotel has character and friendly staff. It on a canal that is out of the main tourist hussle, yet is only a short walk from the main attractions. The bed wasnt the most comfortable (soft mattress and two single mattresses pushed together) however its fine as a place to sleep. The breakfast is a cold buffet but its filling and keeps you going for most of the day. To get there from Venice airport, take the bus to venice bus station, and its either a 15 min walk, or a very long vaparetto (water bus) ride, i think it was more than half an hour I would definantely stay there again.

Stayed for 4 days and the location was perfect. good restaurants nearby. Hotel staff very helpful and accommodating. Room very comfortable. Shower was not big enough to stand in, but got over that scenario by sitting in the bath!

“Will definitely stay again”

This hotel is in a very peaceful and pretty part of Venice and the staff are extremely helpful, with suggestions of good places to eat and how to get about. Situated about five minutes from vaporetto stop and no bridges to cross. We had a quite compact room but it was beautifully maintained with clean towels every day. Good choice of continental breakfast with cereals, rolls ham, cheese, jams etc, yogurt and a brilliant coffee machine. A real find and we will certainly stay again especially as there is an excellent ice cream shop in the nearby Campo St Barnaba.
