“March just the right time to go to Venice”
My husband and I recently stayed for a few days at the Londra Palace Hotel. The hotel is situated in a perfect part of Venice..right beside a Vaporetti stop and the water taxi to the and from the airport..The hotel is extremely clean and you can tell that the interior has been newly re-decorated and new furniture...tasteful Murano glass vases and Venitian glass mirrors with amore modern edge. Breakfast is beautifully presentd a most enjoyable way to start the day. We paid extra for a room with a view..well worth it. From our balcony we looked out over the lagoon to the San Giorgio Maggiore. Our bathroom was very clean and stylishly decorated. No big ugly wardrobe taking up the room, but, a separate walk in closet with mini bar and a safe. The hotel is minutes away from the madness St.Mark's Square...but not too near! Great hotel
“Great hotel”
Hotel perfectly located on the Grand Canal within walking distance of major tourist sites. Staff very friendly and helpful, good choice at breakfast and enjoyable cup of tea / coffee sitting in the lounge looking out on the waterfront after an exhausting day sight-seeing. We didn't feel that it would be worth paying the extra money for a room with Canal view as the main areas of the hotel overlooked the water. Plenty of restaurants - the 2 best were Trattoria Alla Madonna near Rialto Bridge and All'Angelo behind St Mark's Square, both popular with locals and tourists. We went on the "free" boat ride to Murano and had a pleasant day there without any compulsion to buy any glassware!
“"Can't wait to go back to The Londra Palace"”
I have stayed at The Cipriani, The Gritti, The Bauer and Monaco and Grand on previous trips to Venice. The Londra Palace IS MY FAVORITE! Hotel in Venice! I want to go back to Venice Just to stay there. The people are just wonderful, the hotel is in a great location and you just will not have better service anywhere in VENICE!!
“Highly recommend! Beautiful and perfectly located hotel on water and 1 blk from St. Marks Square.”
My boyfriend and I really enjoyed this hotel because it was luxurious and very clean and perfectly located. It actually exceeded our expectations and was worth the extra little splurge for the beauty of the room and the great locationand especially for the exceptional breakfast with the great service particularly from the amazingly helpful and warm and friendly, Elisa! Perfect locale for sightseeing. Again, the breakfast food, ambiance(outside facing water and tourists walking- great for people watching and relaxing) wast outstanding- don't miss it!
“Great hotel”
Great hotel, good location, short walking distance from St. Mark's,shopping and restaurants. Beautiful view from our room of the lagoon. Beautifully furnished. The staff was very accomidating. We had to leave early in the morning- 5:30am to catch an early flight. They prepared breakfast to go for us. I would highly recommend this hotel.
“will surely stay here next time which will be soon”
We really enjoyed our stay ,it was the best location seconds away from all the major sightseeing locations .Also the water bus was right in front of the hotel .extremely convenient location and a great hotel .
“Lovely location - staff very helpful”
I think this is one of the best locations. Within 5 minutes of St. Mark's square and a wonderful view of the lagoon. We had the breakfast each morning, which was nice, particularly when we ate outside one morning on the sidewalk terrace. We also found the terrace a good spot for an afternoon glass of wine and people watching. The room size was good by European standards and the bathroom was quite large.
“Excellent Venice Hotel”
Great Hotel a few hundred metres from St Marks Square with the ferry wharf out the front. Fabulous views of the lagoon, excellent breakfasts and very quiet. All in all a great hotel in a great location.
“Location, service, comfort, elegance”
Located close to St Mark's square and situated on the quayside overlooking the lagoon, this hotel is perfectly positioned to lap up the sights and sounds of Venice. It is elegantly furnished, and professionally run. It has a very good restaurant in the evening, and serves a useful light lunch, as well as a typical Italian breakfast. The staff are more than helpful, and knowledgeable. Of course, the quayside is throbbing with tourists, but somehow they become as interesting a part of the scene as the city itself! The lagoon views are breathtaking, if a little noisy with all the boats coming and going. If you want a quieter view there are rooms overlooking the Venice skyline at the back. Our room was spacious and well equipped. It's not an inexpensive hotel, but neither does it have the overbearing grandeur, and cost, of some of the others. We were absolutely delighted.
“AANON”
Great luxuary high class hotel in great location. Only short walk to San Marco Square, the Doge Palace, and very good view for the grand canal / laguna. Room is small like typical European hotel room size but clean, and tastefully decorated. The staff could not be any better. They were extremely helpful, polite, and went out of their way to try to help in just about any thing you asked for. Will stay here again and really recommend to other travellers
