Hotel La Fenice Et Des Artistes, Venice, offers 68 guestrooms in two connected four-storey buildings, one dating from 1892 and the other from 1920. The hotel owner's collection of contemporary art graces buildings' hallways.
Each room is individually decorated in classical Venetian style. Some rooms contain shower/tub combinations and others have showers but no tubs. All rooms are air conditioned and include satellite televisions and desks. Amenities also include blackout drapes and dial-up Internet access.

La Taverna - Independently operated indoor-outdoor restaurant open since 1907 and named by Italian poet and one-time patron Gabriele D'Annunzio. Elaborate wood ceiling, fabric-covered walls, red velvet chairs and banquettes, floor of multi-coloured broken-marble pieces. Outside tables bordered by potted plants and flower boxes. Menu featuring house-made pasta and Venetian specialties. Open for dinner. 15% discount for hotel guests.
Bar - Drink service from mid-morning to late night in two salons with leather and velvet seating, beamed ceilings, brown-and-white marble floors, and Venetian-style bottle-glass windows. Classical background music. Annual exhibit of contemporary paintings. Drink service also available in two interior garden courtyards.

“So Good going back April 2009”
Extremely convenient Location. Very friendly atmosphere. Great Service. Cleanliness second to none. Peaceful and relaxing. Beautiful Breakfast.
“Perfect Stay”
The hotel has a very unique position in venice. Unlike other 4* hotels it enjoys being on a big street, have a courtyard, and space. the only thing lacking is food during the day, otherwise, it is great
“Friendly hotel by La Fenice”
Very friendly staff who seem to recognise us for our annual visit.

The best thing about this hotel was that it was fairly central and close to San Marco. The hotel itself wss comfotable and the rooms were clean. The general decor was a bit jaded and it did not strike me as a four star hotel. The service was good and the staff were very helpful.
“good location”
good location, good value for money. the room was clean and comfortable but would benefit from a little upgrading but this didn't detract from our stay. Excellent bathroom. Breakfast reasonable, fruit juice, yoghurt, tinned fruit, cereal, ham, cheese, bread buns, coissants. hot food available at a charge but not necessary. Visit to the opera house worth a visit as it's so close. Bedding & towels changed each day. Staff friendly and helpful. Directions given were excellent & took us straight to the hotel from vaporetto stop in minutes. would definitely stay again.
“Very good, although possibly not 4 star”
Very clean and well maintained hotel in a quiet location, although I do wonder if it had that little bit extra that I might expect from a four star hotel. Front desk staff helpful with excellent English - more than useful as my Italian is very limited. Breakfast buffet more or less as I would expect, although the bread didn't always seems particularly fresh (then I don't think bread is a strong point of Italian cuisine). Before you arrive I would suggest printing the directions of how to find the hotel from their website. Venice is an easy place in which to get lost, but I found their directions from the Alilaguna stops excellent.
“Small friendly hotel”
This hotel has plenty of character and it's right in the heart of things (five minutes from San Marco)without being noisy. Rooms were comfortable if not luxurious and the breakfast was adequate. We thought it very good value for what we paid and would definitely go back.
“Good Value - Great Location”
For the money and location La Fenice Et Des Artistes was good value. Although the breakfast menu wasn't enormous there was plenty of it. The staff very pleasant and helpful, but the bonus for us was the 3 person suite comprising a double and single room with bathroom.
“New Year's in Venice”
I was close to all of the major sites and it was safe.
“Faded comfort”
The hotel may have seen better days but it's friendly, clean and proudly Venetian. Good and central too.
