“Not worth the 3-Star”

Everything in the room was like antique. My room's door was not even straight. The door knob could be easily unscrewed. One of the window panes in my room almost fell off. My wife and I had a late night flight on our last day in Venice. Hence, we left our luggage at the reception so that we could still spend half a day in Venice. However, upon collecting our luggage, the receptionist didn't even check to see if the luggage that we were about to take was ours. Reasonable toilet with open shower. Only two pieces of shade to prevent the shower from pouring water onto the toilet bowl and the basin. Horrible hair dryer. No internet as stated but occasionally, the hotel WiFi was turned on. Breakfast was alright. Not many choices and dining area was small. Location is quite good as it's like in the middle of San Marco. It's also near to the boat stations which go to the airport as well as other islands. 2-Star would have been generous.

“Great location but service was terrible.”

The hotel is in a good location, between Rialto and San Marco. However, the service was terrible. I asked for an iron and was told no, I couldn't iron my clothes. It was only after I pushed the point that they set up an iron for me. Ladies - BYO hairdryer - the one they have is next to useless except for drying your hands. Expensive for a 3-star but that's Venice.

“Decent Hotel in a Great Location”

This hotel has a great location right between the Rialto Bridge and St. Mark's Square. This is one of the few hotels that offers handicapped accessible rooms and an elevator. Some of the rooms are rather oddly shaped. In one, the room was extremely narrow and the beds were laid end-to-end. And you may or may not have a European-style bathroom.

The hotel is run down and shows a lot of wear and tear.

“Very near to Piazza San Marco”

We had a great stay at the Hotel Gorizia A La Valigia. We were very pleased with the room, a bit small, but very cozy and very clean. The breakfast was plentiful and lots of variety. A great start to the day. We would absolutely stay the nest time we're in Venice.

The hotel is in a GREAT location but overpriced for what we received. Of course, we expected a smaller room (even though it cost more--it is, after all, Venice). But there was no television at all in the room. We were not told about this at all until we asked about its absence. Then it was "I'm not sure." Finally, a manager told us an electrical storm had fried a bunch of the hotel's televisions a few weeks earlier. My question: why not tell us THAT before we rented the room? Why not tell us that during the check in process? Why not have THAT posted with the details of the room on Expedia? There was also no shower curtain/door AT ALL in the shower. I think they posted this room to sell on your website because they couldn't have rented it straight up.

“Great Location But Overpriced”

Location was only a few minutes from San Marco Square one way and a few minutes to Rialto Bridge the other. Great location for sure. Breakfast was adequate. Air conditioning did not work though room was okay despite temperature in the 90's. Staff on reception was fine but marginal thereafter. We were with another couple and we both requested ice for sodas. They would give us one small bowl of ice for the first couple and none for the second. I would only consider this hotel if I could not fine another one in the same area.

“Great location”

Hotel is ideally situated between San Marco and Rialto. Don't expect city/business size rooms - this is Venice and space is at a premium! Rooms are small but comfortable with air conditioning. Continental breakfast is adequate and served until a very reasonable 1030. Reception staff speak good English and are very helpful. Hotel even provides umberellas should you be unlucky enough to need one as we were! I would definitely recommend this hotel and choose to stay here again.
